16.01.2022 Over the past few months I've been able to host some awesome individuals as well as spend some time over east with Dave Bradley, fly fishing as you all know is a passion for me but the one thing that is a little discouraging is where it's at here in the NT. I'll explain this a little more in detail. Here in the NT fishing in general is predominantly focused on the Barramundi and although it's a great sportfish the barra is not the be all and end all of fishing in the NT, for ...the fly fishos out there reading this there are all your glamour species and more i.e. permit, bones, bastards, triple tail, tuskies and the list goes on. Think about this if you took away the Barramundi you would most definitely not have a recfishing scene here however, again this is more focused on the fly guys, you're left with an awesome fly fishery. I guess what I'm saying is that every now and then take the blinkers off and have a look around because you'd be amazed with what's on offer up here in my backyard See more

14.01.2022 Sorry if this is a duplicate.

13.01.2022 It is certainly a double edged sword, but if you can stomach the onslaught of wankers with their hero shots, the spot burning and poor fish handling skills, it's still a great platform to bring important conservation issues to the forefront......and not just to fly fishos but also to the general population to actually raise the profile of fly fishing because it's still seen as somewhat of a dark art in the general scheme of things.
