HOW TO STAY SAFE AT THE GYM Wipe equipment before and after use with sanitiser containing at least 60% ethanol methanol or isopropyl, our Spray bottles contain Methanol Wash or sanitise hands before and after using a piece of equipme, remembering our 2 towel rule. Wipe your face with a towel, not your hands Minimise skin contact with others (e.g. high-fives) Steer clear of people who appear unwell Stay home if you are feeling sick Many studies have found that gyms can be hot spots for bacteria and viruses. There is currently no evidence that COVID-19 is transmitted through sweat because "It is a respiratory virus, so the lung is where the virus attacks. Sweat doesnt contain respiratory droplets, so theres no current beliefs that sweat is a source of the virus." - Dr John Whyte Despite the fact that the virus doesnt spread through sweat, gyms are still a low-moderate risk environment for COVID-19. 15.01.2022 As of Monday we have a 2 Towel rule, 1 to wipe your body of sweat the other is to be used on any equipment you have touched during your session. Please bring ...in your own water bottle as the bubbler will not be available to drink from. We have already placed plenty of spray bottles containing disinfectant and alcohol but if you are unaware of where these are, please ask a staff member. Sensible actions from everyone using the facility will help us manage through this event. If you feel ill ,, its better to stay away. We will look at diversifying our classes and training options for you next week, just stay in touch with your trainers. Many thanks Phil See more
