24.01.2022 Jaimi King Legal is going into temporary hibernation from 30 March 2020, below we give you the low down on all the happenings: - Our office doors will be shut to the public until the State or Federal Government announce the COVID-19 crisis is at an end. This is to preserve the health and safety of our clients and staff and their/our precious families HOWEVER... - We will still use telephone, email and E-services (Facetime/Skype) during this time; - It is likely the availabil...ity of services of JKL will be reduced temporarily. The reason being our office would like to attend to ensuring current ACTIVE file requirements are met and planned for prior to any necessary lockdown by State or Federal Government. - WE are still happy to address the needs of current and future clients, we just ask for patience while we make miracles happen against an unknown deadline and ever changing safety and legal industry requirements as a result of COVID-19; - Our main areas of practice during this hibernation period will be our specialities property law, commercial law, wills, probate & estates (and we may attend to a limited range of family law matters during this time dependent on capacity); - THANKYOU to everyone who supports JKL whether that be our amazing staff, clients, colleagues, friends and families. 18.01.2022 In light of the bushfire crisis impacting Australia and in particular regional Victoria JKL will donate on behalf of our clients $50 for every wills and estate package booked for January 2020. 10.01.2022 Good Morning All From 23 March 2020 the team from JKL will be delivering a majority of our legal services online, via telephone and via post as part of our commitment to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 in our local community. Our firm has always embraced technology and seeks to put the health, safety and well being of our clients, staff and families first. To enable our team to continue to deliver services, we thank you in advance while our office works with you to utilis...e and implement technology (e,g, Facetime/Skype). We recognise that some legal work will require physical attendance and Jaimi and the JKL team will use their best endeavours to continue to deliver these services in the safest manner possible for both staff and clientele. Hospital and Nursing Home visits will be conducted in accordance with the health service provider requirements and protocols. For remaining appointments this week, our office provides hand sanitizer and bathroom facilities for hand washing, and we do wipe down the meeting room in between clients. If everyone in the local community bands together to take small but meaningful measures to protect and preserve the health of themselves and others we are sure that our entire community will come out stronger. 01.01.2022 It is with mixed emotion that I share with the Jaimi King Legal community that from 6 August 2020 our team will no longer be taking new clients. Our team hopes to be back to full operations and welcoming new clients by 30 September 2020. With the Stage 3 COVID restrictions in place for regional Victoria and the impending birth of Baby King No. 4 I feel the universe is sending a pretty clear message it’s time to slow down, refresh, reset both my home and business and appreci...ate all the little things that make life wonderful (this includes investing in home schooling the little cherubs). For current clients, JKL remains open for business just differently. Our team will continue to deliver on work we have already committed too. We just hope you understand that our profession is required to work from home if we can work from home (of which our team is now doing - so our Shepparton office is closed), COVID is generating delays and hurdles across all aspects of the legal and interlinked industries, however every member of these industries are working diligently to adapt and overcome the daily challenges presented. At every opportunity we will be using technology to make life easier, but sometimes there will be things we cannot do as the use of technology may not be permitted from a legal or ethical perspective. We also recognise that many members of our JKL family are experiencing hardship and uncertainty in their own lives. In fact, for many 2020 has become the year of survival. We send our love and support to you all and hope that once we are back on deck, we can continue to help in the rebuild and prosperity of your lives and local community.
