23.01.2022 Don't forget to play. This fluffy muffin has been great for this reminder. For a while I got caught up in the seriousness of life and adulting, and still do. ... But in the end a lot of the things that get us down or feeling serious really don't matter. What matters most to me is how much have I lived. And that means how much have I kept in contact with my inner child, the loveable idiot who sees wonder and magic everywhere he goes. Life can get serious and I feel we need to be able to be there with that seriousness, but I believe it is just as important to bounce back to your inner dickhead and laugh at whatever life throws you. Your perception is the only controllable part of life. Love you xx

19.01.2022 Getting lost. We all get lost. Lost in thought,... Lost in emotion, Lost in past experiences. To me it only becomes a negative thing when we give up, when we stay lost. Life pushes us in ways that we could never imagine, ways that we can't control. The only thing we do have control over is how we perceive each experience. You can perceive your hardship as a lesson, something that helps you become a better person, or you can perceive your hardship as something that defines you as a victim. Now the former is much easier said than done. Noone truly knows your experience and no-one has the right to tell you if you're being a victim or not, that is completely up to you. Yoga gives us the opportunity to see our experience from an objective point of view by separating our selves from our thinking mind through conscious awareness. It lets us see our experience, without the baggage we have attached to it, so we can then decide how to move forward from a place of clarity. Only you can decide when it's time to move on and how you do so, yoga is a method to help you get there. Love you xx

06.01.2022 Your presence is the present. Give the gift of life this season by looking someone in the gosh darn eyes, give them undistracted, pure presence. We live in a distracted culture.... We numb ourselves from uncomfortable feelings. We constantly stimulate and curate our experience so we don't have to face our shadow. I know I do. I believe one of the most beautiful things we can give ourselves and those around us is presence. Giving someone our full, undivided attention when they are sharing their experience with us. Witnessing the beauty of nature when we choose to sit and watch instead of jump on a screen. Seeing the magic that comes from boredom when we allow it into our experience. So even if it feels a little shitty sometimes, try and bring more presence and less distraction into your life. Your ability to focus will improve. Your creative juices might start flowing. You will appreciate the little things. You will feel more love. That's what life's all about right? Love you xx

02.01.2022 Yoga is an internal practice. Modern social media yoga can give us the impression that the practice is more about the shape your body can make over anything else. Traditional yoga uses the body as a vehicle to dive into the depths of our being. ... It's not so much about the shape you make, but what's happening in your internal world through the process of moving through the shapes that are right for your unique body. We use our breath to calm and control our internal state during an otherwise uncomfortable position. An aim is to be comfortable with discomfort, as it is just a state of mind. Next time your moving your body see if you can bring more awareness to your internal world, notice any sensations that arise like tingling, burning, stretching etc. Try to just notice them, not labelling them good or bad, just notice, just be aware. A deeper connection with our body is a deeper connection with life #factz Love you xx

01.01.2022 What does your environment say about you? The environment we create around us, our room, our social circle, our social media feeds, our living room, says a lot about the person we show up as. When we are looking to form a new habit one of the best places I've found to start is setting up my environment conducive to the habit I'm looking to form or continue. ... This photo is my current room living on the coast with my parents. I've set it up for the things I value currently, which is yoga, meditation and reading. Each morning when I get up my meditation cushion is the first thing I see, other than a wagging tail, so it's very easy to sit and meditate, once I've gone to the toilet. By reducing the barriers or decisions needed to take action on a habit we make it much easier to follow through with. Take a look at your environment and see what it says about you. Does it align with who you want to be? Love you xx
