20.01.2022 Exciting next few weeks coming up, football wise:- - Begin coaching for the MWFA AYL U16’s team for 2020 this week, as head coach - Starting my FFA/AFC B Licence on the 25th November - Few new clients beginning doing sessions, along with players who are already doing sessions ... I have really enjoyed coaching a range of standards doing 1 on 1 sessions and small group sessions. It’s always enjoyable to see improvement with players over individual sessions and over a number of weeks.

19.01.2022 Over the last week, I’ve resumed doing private sessions with a number of players. If you’d like to do a 1 on 1 session, or as the restrictions are relaxed, small group classes, please contact me so we can organise a mutually beneficial time. Stay safe!!

18.01.2022 There are lot of benefits to 1 on 1 and small group coaching. Have a read of this article which highlights a few benefits of getting more personalised attention where sessions can be adapted and quicker progression occurs for the player/s. Lots of benefits!! You can book in for a session NOW. Let me know time and day that suits and we’ll get you booked in for a session. http://coachout.co.uk//6-benefits-of-a-1-to-1-football-co/

17.01.2022 Small Group Coaching: - Is an ideal combination of private coaching and game based learning. - Allows the same level of repetitive practice and feedback as in a private lesson, but without the expense of a private session. - Has the added bonus of allowing players to practice their developing technique during technical game play, with fellow participants of a similar level.

16.01.2022 A great pleasure working with the Pittwater women’s premier league squad girls in 2020. Really enjoyed the season with the girls and being able to allow the experience to be as positive as possible. Always good to work with players who want to continue improving as much as they can!

15.01.2022 A goal a player I coach scored recently. What a banger on his ‘weak’ foot. That’s why it’s so important to continue working on your skillset! Training sessions available, if you’d like to do a 1 on 1 or small group session. If interested, contact me ASAP!

14.01.2022 Had a great session yesterday with Jacob Brazete, who recently competed for NSW in the National Championships in Coffs Harbour, and Anthony Carreras, the Manly United U16's goalkeeper for the 2020 season. The session focus was on Jacob's first touch, plus shooting and the timing of forward goalscoring runs. Very enjoyable session. Thanks to Jen Carreras for the photos.

14.01.2022 Absolutely loving being back on the pitch doing 1 on 1 sessions and small group sessions! It’s so great to see enthusiastic players wanting to really develop their games, and bringing it back to their respective team environments! If you’re interested in booking a session, contact me ASAP to book one in!

12.01.2022 It’s been an enjoyable season coaching the Manly Warringah/Manly United AYL U16’s side. The boys have continued working hard and improving each week, which has bought great enjoyment and a style of play which many sides struggle to deal with.

12.01.2022 Brilliant way to start a Saturday morning with an early morning small group session. Lots of focus on technical skills and different ways to ensure you take a positive first touch to set up your next action.

11.01.2022 This session focus was on scanning and being adaptable to make a decision where to take your first touch depending on what you see from checking over your shoulder. It’s about creating habits that players are able to take into matches to assist them become better players.

10.01.2022 Looking forward to increasing the amount of 1 on 1 and small group classes being run over coming weeks, as the season winds down. Now is the opportunity to do your extra training to ensure you’re ready and improving leading into next season. If interested, contact me ASAP to book in a time! Looking forward to hearing from you

09.01.2022 Have been really enjoying doing the private sessions lately. To hear lots of great stories of kids, both boys and girls, move up in divisions and getting lots of great feedback regarding the sessions is always fantastic to hear!! Looking forward to ramping up the number of sessions even more. Always fun and plenty of opportunities to improve in the sessions.

08.01.2022 Doing 1 on 1 sessions and small group coaching session has allowed me as a coach to improve my communication skills. There’s no ‘get out of jail card’ of a group of 14-16 players so individuals need to understand instructions and changes instantaneously, otherwise the session can break down. I’m always looking to ensure that the players are leaving each session better than when they started, rather than staying stagnant. Leaving each session 1% better leads to massive improvements over time, as demonstrated in the graph below.

08.01.2022 Loving coaching the Pittwater Women’s Premier League in the MWFA Women’s Premier League competition. A great team who are making me raise my bar each and every week. Some unique challenges involved but with greater experience comes greater knowledge. https://www.mwfa.com.au//mwfa-premier-league-womens-round/

08.01.2022 Looking forward to doing more 1 on 1 sessions over coming weeks. A great way to improve particular skill sets quickly and have particular targeted development area’s. Contact me if you’re interested in doing a session or two

08.01.2022 A small group session filmed this week, involving 3 U16’s Manly AYL players for the 2020 season. Worked on reaction time and different finishing drills during the session to ensure they’re sharp for the season ahead. Looking forward to doing more sessions this upcoming week Still working out how to best do the videos

07.01.2022 In an average 90 minute football match, each player averages approximately 1 minute and 21 seconds on the ball in a potential tactical capacity, with the ball in play for an average of 2 minutes and 37 seconds per player. Source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5503225/ Why not do a private or small group session to ensure your technique is improving and that time on the ball is maximised, in terms of efficiency? The best way is through repetition and to ensure you are maximising your technical and tactical skill sets to become a more complete player.

05.01.2022 Absolutely outstanding first 5 and a half days out at the FFA/AFC B Licence (Part 1) at FNSW. So much information to take on board and process but the first part of the course was delivered brilliantly by Chris Adams, Drew Taylor and Warren Grieve. Looking forward immensely to part 2 in early May. A lot to improve on but that’s why we do it, to become better and be the best coaches we can be.

05.01.2022 Great to see the Manly AYL boys having fun during their self isolation period by doing the toilet roll juggling. A fun way to stay engaged and connected as a team!

03.01.2022 One of the players I’ve enjoyed working with most lately is an under 15’s Curl Curl FC player, Talia, who’s now scored more than 30 goals for her team this season. Great to see her desire to improve is paying off!

02.01.2022 If you want to do a session, please get in contact. Work on whatever aspect you want to focus on. Looking forward to working with a number of new players in coming weeks!!
