23.01.2022 A bit of a story behind this horse, but its amazing she is here!! A long road but worth it!!! I always wanted a filly/mare by the great stallion One Moore Daddy!! I bred a couple of mares to him over a couple of years and eventually got a filly out of my home bred Palomino mare Jakeiro Indigo, I was stoked!!! Finally the day came to break her in and start riding her, I had six rides on her and she was going great, I was over the moon! Then, on the seventh day I went to c...atch her, she was walking on three legs, couldnt put the bad one down, long story short, she had been kicked in her off side front leg on her Radius bone(fore arm), I got Newcastle equine Vets up to X-ray her, she had a break, a bad spiral fracture from near the bottom of the Radius to near the top, just stopping before the joints both ends. The vet said keep her in a stable, put some wedge boots on her to help the pedal bone from rotating(laminitis) in her good foot and give her 9 months, IF improving moving her into bigger yards, but they didnt give her a good recovery percentage, and if she did probably wouldnt be able to be ridden again!! It was a big IF cause at anytime her leg should twist and or shatter it I had my mate Keith Hollis come down and over a fair few hours we made some special wedged shoes out of plastic chopping boards glued together then cut and grinded to size(cause the vets boots kept coming off). We then had to sedate her and sling her up to put them on, a long process, we got it done! Thanks mate!!! She was slowly improving so I asked the vet to X-ray again, and if she was improving could she handle being in foal,(may as well give her more time off if she was improving), they gave her the tick, but said she still may not get better. So we A.I.ed her and she ended up in foal. and kept our fingers After nine months, a lot of HI Form Proflamaid Plus and Equissage once to twice a day, we had her X-rayed again, and the vets couldnt believe it and gave her a full recovery all clear!!! They couldnt believe it!! Neither could we!! So we let her have the foal, weaned it, and now its actually 2.5 years later give or take since the accident and since she has been ridden. Nikia and I bought her in recently and I had a ride, she was just as good as she went out, and since then Nikia has taken her over and doing a great job on her!!! I dont think Ill get her back!!But its awesome to see them both enjoying each other, and Im proud of the job Kia is doing with her!! A long road but so worth it!!! 19.01.2022 I absolutely love this horse!!! A few pics from the Invitational Open Cowhorse last weekend held at K Ranch. This young stallion gets thrown into the deep end quiet a bit but has the brain to handle it, his worst handicap is me!!! Our second attempt at it and we had a ball and I’m getting the Cowhorse bug!! There were some great things to our run but some small mistakes on my behalf, which I love because it means there is always room to improve, it makes you want to work, t...rain and try harder to do better!! Can’t wait til the next event!!! Congratulations to all competitors!!! The bar was raised high from the first run!!! You should all be stoked with how your horses and yourselves went!!! 17.01.2022 We tried something different this weekend and went to our first Reined Cowhorse comp run by NSW Reining Horse Association at K Ranch Arena(great set up!!!), it ...was a great weekend! Thanks to all involved! Was great meeting new people and trying new things!! We took two horses and had a ball!! Im very proud of Nikia, never has she competed these horses before, never has ridden a pattern before( loves chasing cows too much) and these horses hadnt done it before either!! She smoked it!! She came home with a 1st on Struan Parks Just A Moment(aka Nelson) and 2nd on Moranjee Cat Ballou in one class, then a 2nd on Just A Moment by half a point in the other class!! In the hotly contested Open Cowhorse I ended up equal 2nd on Just A Moment by half a point also, I was super happy with him being his first time!! 10.01.2022 I’m just sitting thinking and recapping the last few weeks, pretty busy time covering some miles!!! It’s started with a clinic in Sydney, thanks Ellie Clarke for organising it, we battled the weather and got a little damp here and there, but everyone was awesome and pushed through, and glad we did!!! The improvements in horses and riders was huge!! A great weekend with good company, seeing the lightbulb moments is awesome!! From there drove out to Little Topar, it’s a campdra...ft ground next to Little Topar Roadhouse and hotel, and that’s it!! It’s out on the road to Broken Hill, about 12 hrs from Sydney or my place. Out there I ran 2 days of private lessons, and 2 clinics over 6 days. It was awesome!!!! I have to shout out and thank the owners and crew at Little Topar Roadhouse!!! You guys are awesome!!! Best hospitality!!!(I was going to say best hospitality in the area, but it’s the only thing in the area!!but seriously, second to non!) Great food!!!! And good cold beer!!! You guys are awesome and thanks for everything, I didn’t want to leave!! To Little Topar campdraft committee, and everyone, thank you so much, the Smiths, Fi Landers for putting my name forward after doing a previous clinic at Trangie, and especially Barb Edwards, you are amazing with the organising, time spent and work you put in to making this and other things all happen, thank you so much!! It’s always great witnessing big improvements in horse and rider combinations, and there was no shortage of that over the 6 days!!! Great grounds, great people=great campdraft clinics and good times Then to head back to Mudgee to run a horsemanship clinic for Central Tablelands ASH branch. What a great weekend slowing it all down and going back to foundation work to get people understanding their horses better to help set them up for future endeavours and competitions, a remarkable change in horse and rider combinations!! So good!!Thanks Shelley Barnett and Joe and Lou Best for you ongoing hard work for this ASH Branch! Here are some pics from the trip, also if anyone is thinking to head west to check out more of Australia!!! Do it!!! I was great seeing different country, the people are lovely and there is so much interesting stuff to see all the way out there!!! On a spare day I got to check out Broken Hill and the surrounding area, there is a lot to offer, I also got to check out Silverton, where Mad Max movies were made, Day Dream old Cornish silver mines, it was so interesting going underground and checking that out!! Anyway, I hope everyone is well!!

Soon they will go out to grow, then this lot and the first lot will be brought back in to sales prep for some yearling salespeople privately, or later be broken in and sold privately or through Nutrien classic or supreme sales
