17.01.2022 Sail, the courage of a romantic duo, a flame, a harvesting rose where the hearts lay rest, the cheers of a mutual beer on opposite sides of the globe, a note carrying sparrow bearing storie for the untold future, the skies, night and day, a slight reminder of what home is, the courage and respect it takes to love on opposite sides, the unspoken death that lingers. This collection is a new piece for @royalaustraliannavy a few murals with down at HMAS Cerberus. Illustrating what it takes, the courage and respect it involves to pursue a career at sea, adventuring the unknown, but knowing, your heart has a place. A simple bond at the end of the day of a beer.

14.01.2022 While I’ve been in iso, I have picked up a new skill. Cocktails. Where do you sit on the cocktail scale? Take me home and tuck me in, or takle my hand, give me all the drugs, and lets get the fuck into it. Or somewhere between A few cocktails I’ve been getting hell into recently are. And a line of god's sugar by the bottom. Ok maybe not. Take me home Latino. Tequila, you beautiful bastard. A little triple sec. Maybe a shot of Tequila for yourself, you deserve it. Freshly squeezed limes (A lot) shave a few skin to get some zest. Diced Jalapenos, you spicy bitch. A squeeze of agave syrup. Shake the fuck outta it with a few ice blocks. Death at the helm. Dark Rum. Ginger Beer. Sea salt from the Atlantic (Or ice blocks from your freezer) Freshly squeezed limes. Drown the squeezed lime within the ice blocks, and garnish the hell out of it. Let me know how you go with these, or if you have some swell recipes for me to try. Yew.

06.01.2022 A cheeky process post. From thought to vector. Of course, my process starts from a thought. A simple weird thought that eventuate into an idea. The idea transfers to a very very quick rough, usually a 5 minute greyled, just to get that thought out of my head.... It’s super paramount to always have a notepad handy, @Moleskin does amazing small notepads, and hey, you never know when you’ll bump into a babe that asks for your number, always have paper and grey at the ready. From paper, I take a photo of the sketch, import it into @Procrete and then use a strict monochrome pen, to outline the elements, from there I marry the outlines with a soft warm inviting palette, making sure all the colours are seasonal. Following the fill, I group tattoos, and additional extra lines, then the shading comes out and plays, after I pick up all my brain particles from the explosion of sexual creativity brewing in my mind, and placing them back in my skull, I add the highlights and softer colours to really show a 3 dimensional aspect. It is quite a lengthy process, roughly 5-6 hours per illustration. And then once these are exported from Procrete to either a PSD or Ai medium, you have your fucking vector. The process, started from the bottom now we’re here.

04.01.2022 I tuned my ears to a podcast yesterday. He mentioned that the caption you write alongside your image is and if not more important than the visual aspect. That’s completely true, you have a 10 second window of capturing your crowd with a cool image, but the writing itself is what makes that image human. I find being a human so important within the business world these days, to have your brand as personal as possible. The image is a vulnerable insight of how my mind works, whe...reas the caption is a vulnerable insight on how I translate my emotions. I reckon I'll put his inspiration to work today, and write a caption I put time and effort into. I thought I would break down my emotional translation process of this piece. Inspired through the residing of a new country, moving to Bali in three weeks. That the Californian Buick is growth, moving through my last attachment. My friends helping me through a rough few months, guiding me to who I am today. The palms a guiding light on my path of happiness. The whole image here translates my emotions on moving to a new country. Or I could say. Tis the season for some shades, beers, babes, palms and buicks. I suppose they translate the same message. #nailedit
