18.01.2022 I heartily recommend Jake's Trucks. I put my old house on the market a few months ago, & left furniture behind to decorate it. After the sale, I needed all th...ose items sorted - some to the new house, some to a friend, & one piece to the tip. The initial phone contact & estimate (Amanda?) was very helpful & friendly, & she listened. On the moving day, Jake's were booked 8.00 to 8.30. The guys rang me at 8, telling me they'd be there at 8.30, & they were. They turned up looking neat & tidy, & were very pleasant and helpful to deal with. They LISTENED to what needed to happen, & picked up items & packed accordingly. They also wrapped all the items in clean-looking moving blankets & secured them well. On the way over to the new house, they dropped the old sofa in to the tup, & I had given them cash to cover that. At the new house they gave me back the change & a receipt. They then placed the furniture where I wanted it, & we were done. Very enjoyable experience. I wish I had used them when moving the bulk of my house, where another moving company were tardy, turned up looking like an outback footy team after a big night out & mangled my piano. I would heartily recommend these people to anyone. Well done!!

16.01.2022 Hey all my Torres Strait FB Friends, Skytrans has a couple of dash flights up to Horn next week from Cairns to pick up freight, first one this Saturday 18th of... April. All are empty on the way up so far! So if anyone has any freight they want to send up to Horn/TI or an outer island, and can get it delivered to the Skytrans hangar, let me know! We’re doing all freight at $4.55 a kg with no handling fees. Have freezer and cold room space available to keep goods until the flight.
