25.01.2022 Getting ready for winter, need summer veges to finish so i have room , lots of composting feeding and pruning , thinking i need to do more root vegetables and long storing items, being a lazy boy i should grow foods that can hang around for a bit without the need of cooking , i know its easy to blanch and freeze and theres alot i could learn but its also easy to go fishing and drink beer . Im starting to gain interest in organic fertilisers and balancing my soil , going to also try a not tilling my soil and doing experiments to see weather tilling produces better growth

24.01.2022 Enjoying the warmer weather and watching everything take off , the biggest problem i have this time of year is accepting limited space because i want too many variety of vegetables , also planning spacing and bed placement considering where ill be at in autumn with harvesting and next crops, last year i took up 1/3 of a bed with sweet potatoes witch was a okay harvest but for the time they took i think ill make a new bed for them this year maybe a no dig like peter cundells w...e will see . Lost all my rose cuttings i think due to bad propagation mix and bad watering , had great success with evergreen hydrangeas and stringosa , lots of annual flowers planted in ugly beds look forward to blooms , two new beds i made and filled with glebe soils both premium and the cheaper one have been very productive , not many weeds well worth the price . Harvested first passionfruit from last springs planting, happy days See more

12.01.2022 Hi all :) this year i want to concentrate on producing and using / storing as much edible crops this spring and summer , the longer i garden the more i find i need to plan and choose variety of vegetable more precisely , also i waste space planting too many large producers like tomatoes and pumpkins and capsicums and sweet potato , so will be making more effort to use my space more efficiently. every year i learn more skills and grow more delicious foods and i keep fit while i do it , i also meet lots of brilliant people who are intelligent and have lots of knowledge to share . What a great hobby :)
