When it comes ...to burnout competitions and judging I like accumulated points to determine finalists over 2 rounds. Question is for a Top 10 shootout should the points be reset or should the finals points be added on as well to determine the place getters???? Give us a for all 3 scores added together to give final placings. Give us a for points reset for the top 10 shootout and placings determined from just the finals skid. 22.01.2022 Getting a visit from the Whiplash drag car owned by the Redneck Racing team tomorrow to spend some time here to get its new 408 cubic inch heart fitted and a couple of other changes to take it from burnout trim to drag spec. We will also be fitting the new full transbraked C4 gearbox built by Als Race Glides in Sydney once it arrives in a few weeks. Look out for this thing on a track near you soon.

21.01.2022 Things are getting pretty busy here at Jaks Performance with a new 600 vacuum secondary Holley just arrived for fitment to a ski boat, and a Z28 Camaro in for us to modify an aftermarket air conditioning compressor mounting kit to work around the existing power steering. They dont make a kit to suit so we will make it work. For all your performance parts needs and custom work and modifications give us a call. Honesty is our policy. UPDATE!!!!! Aftermarket mount for the A/C ...compressor not even close to fitting without substantial modifications. After quite a bit or rejigging and some profanities its all mounted and aligned perfectly. Off the the Auto Electricians now to get plumbed and gassed. Very happy customer I must say. 17.01.2022 So for the first time since WHIPLASH was built it is now in full race trim for the test and tune at Palmyra Dragway this weekend. 408 cubic inch Ford Cleveland V8 backed by an Als Raceglides trans braked C4 gearbox, 5000rpm converter and 4.11:1 gears in a ladder bar rear ended 9. Should go into the mid 10s easy. Congratulations to Marty and Colin Arnold the new owners. Cant wait to see it go down the track finally.

12.01.2022 Well weve made it to 500 followers for the new project so heres what weve got if you havent already guessed. Here we have a Datsun 1200 Ute that is at least... going to be Clevo powered or Windsor with Cleveland heads, thus the name we came up with being DABOSS. It will be Kim Earl and mines forever car and will always be naturally aspirated. Plans are to add to the chassis work that has already been completed with full chassis right to the front end, coil overs all round and plenty of cage work as it will definitely be seeing the drag strip as well. Deadline is Rocky Nats next year so if you are a business that might be interested in helping us achieve this goal please get in touch with us. 12.01.2022 Well after finally finding so more motivation after Powerfest and working flat out, we’re making some more progress on DABOSS. Chassis completely welded out, on...e rear tub completely fabbed up and now mounting the new Viking double adjustable coil overs. Axles will be next and then onto mounting the engine and trans and starting the sheet metal. Bring on Rockynats I say. See more

11.01.2022 Finally in the shed away from all the paperwork from The Insane Performance Sugar City Powerfest prepping Whiplash for the new owners. Got it running last weekend with all their help and now to put the drag gears in and a few bits and pieces to finish it off. 408 cubic inch Cleveland, CHI 225cc heads and solid flat tappet cam. Lots of good gear in it to make it a reliable combo that should dip into the low 10s and still weighs in at 3500lb. Should even get to run at the test and tune at Palmyra this weekend

09.01.2022 Its been a long time coming but after quite a few design changes and ideas, DABOSS is now sitting on its front suspension. Only tacked in but really happy with... the results. Should handle high speed tip ins and big wheel stands no worries at all. Built to go round corners as well as straight line. Also moved the front tailshaft loop and integrated the rear gearbox mount. Getting closer to being a roller now. See more

08.01.2022 When a good mate comes to you asking if you could to fit his 9 diff and put tubs into his HD Ute because he was quoted a ridiculous price from a panel beater you find it hard to say no. He wanted to at least fit a 265 under the back and here we go with a trial fitment and they fit easy. By the time I’m finished we’ll go close to a 295 but a 275 drag radial will sit mint I think. Plenty of hidden rust too and have unearthed very substandard work done previously including a chassis connector kit missing bolts from mounting points. If it’s worth doing do it right. Time to do some massaging and fill in the gaps. Hope you like where we’re headed Shane Collie. Did we mention the 186 is getting a blower fitted as well
