25.01.2022 Working on adjoining property, when the drillers came over to ask for a tow in the mud . What started out as a small job, turned into nearly six days , 4 test holes dug . Had to tow the rig to each hole . Once all gear was clear of job site , had to do reclamation on site .

25.01.2022 Clearing trees around house yard , some very big , old , rotten trees . Stacked up and site raked , ready for burning next year .

23.01.2022 Just finished a site cut and fill for a new shearing shed and under cover sheep yards . We used a nearby dam for extra fill , then put in new drains to fill that dam . Created a new road into yards and once shed is up , will return to put in hard stand area for silos , stock trucks etc . The old Austin fire truck has done a power of work carting water for some dust suppression . Also cleared the pine trees for better vehicle access . A very happy customer

23.01.2022 Old trees at Jim Zwar's farm , tidied up the side of the hill , then buried all the left over steel , wire , stumps etc .

23.01.2022 Clearing prickly acacia at a property near Moyston . Stacked up then set fire to . Final clean up was to stick rake the area , to level out and make more manageable for the owner .

21.01.2022 Cut and fill new hard stand area , dig out material for new silos to be put in later this year . Blue Metal to finish of road in and out . New concrete culverts to divert water to existing dam and re-shape drains .

18.01.2022 Hard stand area in front of sheds and silos. Re cut the whole area to create a more even finish . Using 20mm scoria from Mt Shadwell Quarry .

16.01.2022 Boxed out a bad washout on a dam this week , a large fox den was also found in the dam wall . Re lined with wet clay and compacted . Then lifted dam bank by 500 mm and strengthened back dam wall with clay . Filled in erosion cutting with clay as well . Top dressed the whole job with topsoil , and re positioned the overflow .

15.01.2022 These old trees are starting to fall onto road , becoming a safety hazard. Time for a quick tidy up and burn .

15.01.2022 Tree removal against sheds , remove old fence line and burn material . Re create new driveway and cover in Blue Metal from Western Quarries ! Opened the area right up , client extremely happy with finished job

12.01.2022 Huge tree that I had to put a saw cut all the way through to get it to fall away from main road .

11.01.2022 The Old Volvo truck has had some much needed love lately , the old bin has gone to god . New bisalloy boby being made , couldn’t put a new bin on an old chassis . A new coat of paint t for the cab and chassis and as ! Been a Kenworth man through all the trucks I’ve driven in different jobs , but this truck just keeps on keeping on . Why change if it ain’t broke

10.01.2022 Started a big job cleaning out a Turkeys Nest . This is gravity fed from a fresh spring about 6 kms away . It is then pumped to a couple of holding tanks that water approx 12,000 sheep. The reason it was cleaned now , was to not have it off line leading up to summer . First job was to dig a sump outside of main wall to hold the mud. Then create a smaller sump on the dam wall , making sure not to damage dam wall lining . With time being critical , I arranged another excavator and dump truck to help speed up the job. Mark James did a great job , made it so much easier for me . I stayed on the floor of the dam and fed him the mud , then he threw it over into the next sump. Most of the excess we carted away to a nearby hole . Glad it's finished .

07.01.2022 Very large old Pine Trees that needed some attention for safety concerns over falling limbs etc . Steep ground and buildings in close to these trees made it rather a slow process to get them down safely . The end finish , looked fantastic , and being able to leave the old Peppercorn trees behind still gave some protection and privacy for the main house .

06.01.2022 Started work on this paddock , putting in raised beds at 12 metre running surface ! Farmer used his tractor & GPS to work ground up . I'm then forming the beds and creating new drains ,to tie in with existing drains that flow out to the south of the property . Finished first section Saturday afternoon , then add 25mm of rain , and it works ! Farmer very happy , and we'll complete rest of paddock in the following summer !

04.01.2022 Toora , clearing trees at a few different sites on farm . Been great weather to be out doors . Plenty of wind , which really helps burn these heaps right down .

02.01.2022 Water erosion and old tree stumps buried in dam bank , had created a hole that had grown over time . Re dig out the bank , removed old stumps etc and sand /topsoil . Then packed with wet clay . Lifted the dam bank up to level and spread topsoil over the side to get some grasses growing to hopefully prevent soil erosion in the future .

01.01.2022 Today the boss is having a day at home with his little girl . Smoko time in the cubby . Sometimes you have to stop and appreciate what I work hard for . These are the days you can't get back . Millie has a few jobs that dad needs to do at home .
