25.01.2022 ............Paddy would like to wish a big............ HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of his horsey friends today!! *The 1st of August is recognised as the official birthday of all Thoroughbreds in the southern hemisphere, and has been adopted as the birthday of all horses whos actual birth date is unknown
25.01.2022 We are still seeking our elusive new agister who has 2 horses to all those who have enquired but only have 1 horse, I will get back to you if we cannot find an owner with 2 horses We have 2 indoor stables waiting for their new occupants, on either Full ($150/wk) or 3/4 board ($115/wk).... What we offer: all stable duties (mucking out, rugging, feeding etc. 3/4 board provide own feeds) daily turnout in individual reticulated paddocks (full electric fencing) hay nets overnight and in paddocks (included for full, extra for 3/4 if you use our hay) an extensive Full Board menu. I believe in feeding quality over quantity, so have a flexible array of feeding options. Extra charges may apply. great facilities (riding arena (non-professional surface), round yard, exercise track, cavallettis & jumps, concrete wash bays with cross ties, individual tack sheds) float parking 5 min ride to pony club and trails We are more than happy for you to provide a hay roll for your horse (conditions apply), and we can source great quality rolls for you. All of our horses are happy, relaxed and just love life. They have a great routine and we treat them like part of the family. All of our feed back from current agisters is the same- they are just so happy they made the move, as they can see the positive effect it has had on their horse! Spaces are available NOW!

23.01.2022 Something unrelated to horses, but our beautiful 9 year old Ollie has signed up for the Worlds Greatest Shave and is so excited to be doing his bit for people in need. He was originally going to colour his hair, but has decided it would be braver for him to go for the full shave! If you have a little to spare he would be over the moon to receive your donation, no matter how small
23.01.2022 The beautiful Mojo has made his way back to us, but unfortunately he is not the same horse who left us 18 weeks ago. Mos owners rehomed him with the very best of intentions, as they were facing major reconstructive surgery and so found (what they thought was) an experienced, professional home for him with a person who runs an "education centre" and regularly rehabilitates horses. They were confident that they had found him a first class home and that they would not have to w...orry about him. Upon visiting Mo this week however, this is what they found. In just 18 weeks Mo has transformed from a very healthy (borderline chubby) gelding to being emaciated, for lack of a better description. He is skeletal, weak, and his demeanor has changed dramatically. The Vet who attended him this evening described him as "close the worst case of neglect" that he has ever seen. While it is not my place to name the person responsible, I would like this to serve as a warning to anyone rehoming a horse or sending a horse for education- PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! Anyone is capable of presenting a false image of themselves, and we are ultimately entrusting a stranger with the welfare of our best friends. While the person in question here feels very badly about what they have done, unfortunately feeling bad is not going to undo the damage that has been done and it is certainly not going to help Mojo in his journey back to health! Feel free to share Mojos story, to serve as a warning to anyone who may need it. Research, research, research! If anyone would like to donate to Mojos recovery, please get in touch. ETA: the person who had Mojo has responded to the criticisms. Disappointing to say the least! https://www.facebook.com/303670093052866//2312854692134386/

20.01.2022 Here at Jambanis Agistment we have put in place several measures in an attempt to keep our agisters and their families safe, along with ourselves of course! Firstly, we have implemented a calendar system which allows agisters to book individual time slots throughout the day. This allows everybody the opportunity to visit their horses without coming into contact with anyone else, or having to worry about "social distancing". Secondly, we are disinfecting our little hearts out!... Several times throughout the day all of our communal surfaces and spaces are sprayed with a chlorine solution, and a disinfectant solution is available at all times for all agisters to utilise. This is on top of our standard hand wash and sanitizer. We are disinfecting all halters and fly veils several times a week (which, lets face it, is probably a good idea even outside of a pandemic situation!) For those agisters who choose not to visit during the period of suggested self- isolation, we are taking photos and videos of their horses, to try to keep "horsey withdrawal" to a minimum! With Police conducting spot checks on Agistment facilities to ensure compliance with restrictions, we are being so careful to abide by the rules! If anyone can suggest any ways that we can improve our precautionary measures, or if there is something you are doing that works well for you, please feel free to comment below or send us a PM. We are all in this together, and well be sure to get through it together

16.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in Mojos story. We have been inundated with with support and offers of donations. We are all very grateful! Mojo spent all day yesterday eating and snoozing. He has a strong appetite and is always asking for more food. Unfortunately for him however, he is on hard feed rations until his condition improves a little and his organs recover enough to process larger amounts of food. Mo is already showing signs of improvement physically, and we are confident that it wont take long for him to start resembling his old self. For now though, he remains very difficult to look at

04.01.2022 Mojo is for lease A lot of you will remember Mojo as the poor, sorry soul who came back to us in emaciated condition last year, having been rehomed by his owners to a home where they thought he would be safe. Well now Mojo is well & truly back up to weight (maybe a little too much so!) and is looking for a long term (possibly lifelong) lease home where he will be spoiled, challenged &, most importantly of all, loved! ... Mojo is a 16.2hh rising 12yo OTTB gelding by Flying Pegasus. He is a LOVELY boy who will show you limitless affection.... once he has established that you are worthy, through a series of face pulling and general grumpiness! He is 100% bluff, as it is all a defence mechanism. Once he is your friend, he will follow you to the ends of the earth and be your absolute best friend! I adore this horse and spend lots of time in his paddock, just cuddling with him he is a beautiful looking boy and regularly receives compliments on his looks & conformation. Mo is a forward, but responsive ride. He has a soft mouth and will listen to your aids & seat. He can and has been ridden bareback, in just a halter. He loves to jump! (See videos in comments). Mo is a great ride out in the bush, either with other horses or alone. He has been to the beach and done extensive trail riding. He is great in an arena and has great paces. His education isnt extensive, but the basics are all solid and he is a willing student, having been coached in the past. Mojo will ONLY go to the best of homes, given his history. There are strict conditions surrounding his care & feeding: - he cannot be in a herd paddock without being separated completely to feed (daily); - he must be hard fed (no exceptions) He is not difficult to keep weight on, but cannot survive just on grazing alone; We will closely monitor Mos new home for the initial settling in period, purely so that we can ensure that he never again ends up in the state that he was in last year. Alternatively, we are more than happy for his new partner to agist him here with us! If you have any questions, or would like more info on our beautiful Mojo, please feel free to PM. Serious enquiries only. Videos are in comments. *PLEASE NOTE: Mojo is not offered on a lease-to-buy agreement, this is purely a (VERY) long term lease*

02.01.2022 WERE EXPANDING!! Recently weve been working on a deal to procure a portion of adjacent land, which will provide us with more paddock space, more riding space and (in these times) a greater opportunity for social distancing! As well as being super exciting, it means that we now have space to take on a few more agisters which will hopefully assist people to bring their horses closer to home during the current restrictions. You can be assured of 5*care should you be unable to ...travel to see your horse, with photos & videos etc being sent regularly! New spaces are for full board only ($150/wk. Possibility of downgrading to 3/4 board when virus restrictions lift) and include an indoor stable or outdoor yard, daily turnout in safe electric fenced paddocks, 2 x hard feeds per day (ulcer diet including Fibre Protect and Speedibeet), 2 x hay per day, rugging etc. Our facilities NOW include: 2 x riding arenas 2 x exercise tracks 1 x round yard Indoor stables/outdoor yards Individual tack sheds Wash bays with cross ties Float parking Spaces are available now, with the additional facilities being available within the next few weeks! 01.01.2022 MOJO UPDATE: 18 weeks it took for Mojo to become emaciated, yet it has taken only 4 weeks (tomorrow) to get him back to looking like a horse again! We are thrilled at his progress and cannot wait to see what next months progress update will look like! Since being here he has not once refused food, not once shown any element of depression and not once displayed any signs that he may have any separation anxiety towards his owners! This really serves to highlight the reality of ...the situation that he was in, regardless of the public claims that have been made regarding this poor horse. Thankfully though, he will never have to endure anything like that again and is back in safe hands Dont get me wrong, Mojo still has a long way to go, but he is definitely heading in the right direction. Special thanks go to all of the lovely people who have donated feed for this big guy. Also, a big thank you to our friends at CEN - Complete Equine Nutrition for providing us with CEN Ulcer Protect for Mojo. Already we are noticing a huge difference. Definitely a high quality product! https://www.facebook.com/CompleteEquineNutrition/ #mojo #CEN #UlcerProtect #horse #rehabilitaion #RSPCA
