Nic is now on the right road for himself and his family, it starts from doing what you love most and for him that's training and fighting. #love #life #training Love ya brother Nicholas Nash ... I grew up relatively normal, 3 older brothers living with my parents and I grew up playing footy. at around the age of 12 I started boxing training for the first time at strong-arm and after 3 years training there I then started training at Southside boxing gym in Taren point with Ryan waters who then trained me for a further 2 years in which time I had 6 amateur fights. my parents then split up and I burnt out and turned to drugs just as I was about to turn 17. I then continued to abuse drugs over the course of the next 2 and a half years beginning with social drinking and ending with battling a horrible addiction with crystal Methamphetamine (ice). I burnt bridges, lied to and manipulated family and friends, assaulted people, stole from friends, got in trouble with the law and abused everybody's trust who ever gave it to me. I spent my 19th birthday in a cell and missed 2 of my 3 older brothers weddings. that broke me. I ended up in a long term residential rehabilitation centre in surry hills called William Booth house run by the salvation army on the 17th of january 2017 broken and very far from the person I had been prior to my drug use. I have now been clean for 11 months and started training again about a month into my 6 month stay in rehab and I feel better and more confident then I ever have. I do 2 1 on 1 sessions a week at reborn with James Spencer and have begun training at Southside boxing gym under ryan waters once again hoping to have another amateur fight soon. He now also wants to help young people who are struggling and are abusing drugs.
