15.01.2022 BAND 6 HSC RESULTS!! A huge congratulations to Montana, Oscar and Zac who each achieved a BAND 6 result in their HSC music course. These three incredibly talented young keys players have been studying personally with James, who is one proud as punch piano teacher right now! Even with all the swings that 2020 has taken, their hard work, dedication, and passion for learning has well and truly paid off! Well done again you absolute legends!

13.01.2022 While I’ve been off sick for the past few days (not the dreaded coronavirus I promise!!!) - I’ve had the chance to tinker around in the studio with Barry the studio dog (Maisey barked instructions at us from the corner and simply REFUSED to be caught on camera) The studio is now completely set up for on-line lessons! With the help of the chordie app, students will be able to see exactly what I’m playing in real time via Zoom video conferencing. The best part of it all? Stud...ents don’t even need any special equipment! All you need is either a smart phone, tablet, or a laptop with a webcam. Just place the device on a stool/table next to the piano, click the link that I’ll email through, and we’re off running. While we are still 100% offering in person lessons (with a smattering of hand washing, dettoling, and Glen 20ing), we are keeping our ears to the ground for all advice in relation to Covid-19. Having the online services ready to go means there will be no interruptions to any of our students learning during this strange time! I hope everyone out there is still feeling fit and healthy, and may you all have enough loo paper to see you through! Declan Lucas is an accomplished young guitarist with a thorough understanding of a wide range of music styles, including rock, pop, blues, country, folk, metal, and jazz. ... Declan grew up in Wagga and attended Kooringal High School where he developed ensemble skills as the lead guitarist in the KHS funk band and yearly productions. He has also been a part of multiple professional ensembles, currently playing in MOTO, a four-piece band crafting original pieces flavoured with jazz-fusion, rock, and afro-beat elements. With a focus on contemporary guitar technique, functional chord theory, and improvisational skills, Declan allows his students to explore exactly what they find most interesting about music. With step by step, engaging, student-specific learning, and integration of theory and practical skills, he helps his students progress into well rounded and developed musicians. Through his enthusiastic, caring, and easy-going personality, students are given a relaxed and encouraging environment in which to explore their instrument and develop a love for learning. 05.01.2022 It's always hard to get off the piano once Geoffrey the Piano Tuner has worked his magic! The ol' work horse of an upright piano has had a fresh tune, and the action has had a very thorough service - we're going to have to book in some more recording sessions on the upright this time (once James has been prised away from the keyboard of course!) Geoffrey is the only tech we let touch our pianos, and thoroughly recommend his services to all of our clients!
