25.01.2022 I hung a picture of the old man (Pete) in the Mt Malakoff Woolshed today just so he could keep an eye on us... he hasn’t missed a days shearing in 60+ years... I’m pretty sure he’d be happy with how the team went.. we missed you old mate

25.01.2022 Flashback to being Cattlemen... the old man went to the UK when he was a young fella to learn all about Hereford cattle.... he came home with a new skill set on cattle and Love, for it is in the UK, that he met and courted my beautiful mother, Marjory. He didn’t waste any time proposing and bringing her back to the Australian bush... she took to it like a duck to water and shared his love of the land and it’s animals... she loved this place like it had always been her home

23.01.2022 Hope you all had a great Easter. It was a fairly wet one here & although I will never again complain about the rain, it sure was lovely to see this appear this afternoon

23.01.2022 James' latest single, "Slip Away" ... check it out! -> https://bit.ly/2HDQyz0

20.01.2022 About last night in Mt Isa .... it was definitely a case of Worlds colliding when a bunch of Country Music singing Cowboys crossed paths with a bunch of Briefs Factory Boys... Entertainment at its Best ... was a pleasure to meet you Briefs Factory

19.01.2022 Thanks fellas... great day shearing

18.01.2022 PWB ‘the last farewell’: ‘If a picture paints a thousand words...’ then this final image says it all.. apart from the fact that he’s on a quad bike, not a stock horse, this was the old mans favourite place on the planet to be.. Thank you to each and every one of you who sent condolences and messages of love and support to the family, everyone who’s been through this will tell you they are of immense comfort.. A million thank you’s to my brilliant, patient, forgiving fiancé R...ebecca, I didn’t think it would be possible to love you more.. your endless hours on that last remarkable video will never be forgotten.. Pete, Charlie, Briar, and Brent, thank you so much for pulling together all the elements that made Peter Warren Blundell’s send off an event that he would have enjoyed, and as Raymond Matiazzi, the celebrant, put so succinctly, celebrated ‘not a day in the life of a man, but the life of the man in a day’ There’s always humour to be found in even the darkest hour.. anyone with an eye for detail will notice that the back right tyre on the quad bike is flat.. that bloody man could find a nail in a desert and manage to drive over it.. just one more thing that I, and all of us who loved you so much will miss old boy.. All my love, always.. James. See more

17.01.2022 These guys really have their work cut out (pardon the pun) for them ... Thankyou Shearer’s ... was a successful day at the old Woolshed

15.01.2022 Sunday morning swim for Penny ... she still hasn’t quite figured how to return the stick

15.01.2022 Check out these beautiful Girls

14.01.2022 Horseplay on a Monday... things got a little crazy when Mandrake (Stallion) met Billy (the kid). After today’s antics, the boys won’t be hanging out together in the foreseeable future... like NEVER ... EVER PS . No horses were harmed, aside from Billy’s bruised ego of course

11.01.2022 Briar & I thought we better put a bit of practice in before tonight’s gig at Caloundra and then on to Mt Isa for Saturday night... grateful to be back in the game again

08.01.2022 With the release of the Australian movie RAMS yesterday, I thought it appropriate to give one of our Rams his 1 second of fame We currently have two Rams taking care of our ewes ... they are aptly named Statler & Waldorf from Muppet fame. These fellas were known to sit on the theatre balcony and BOO anyone that didn’t quite measure up... our boys BAA rather than BOO... on that note... BAA RAM EWE

06.01.2022 I thought we would take things into our own hands, just in case the Easter Bunny couldn’t make it to the farm due to Covid restrictions ... which brings me to the question... why does the Easter Bunny bring eggs when it’s the Chooks that lay them ?

06.01.2022 This is Alba ... she is a mastiff, bull arab, wolfhound cross... she may look a little scary but she is the sweetest 60kilo girl down here on the farm

06.01.2022 We’ve just returned home from Country on Keppel @Great Keppel Island to this precious, long legged being with a big white blaze . The Big question is ... BOY or GIRL FILLY or COLT ???

03.01.2022 As the old saying goes The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence... in this case, it actually is

02.01.2022 It’s a BOY.... took a while for a couple of Cowboys to figure it out Now we’ve just got to come up with a name for this handsome young lad ???
