19.01.2022 Storage solutions make up a considerable amount of my work and its something many of us struggle with. This client had the space, but dearly wanted it to disappear from view! Matching timbers and finishes, like this, are not exactly my forte, but I think I pulled it off! It was an added bonus to get it stained, cut, fit and finished in a day :)

18.01.2022 This job involved finding an elegant solution to a problematic area. The inward opening doors were catching the weather, and without adequate sill and surrounds to allow run off and drainage, the area needed attention. The pictures tell the story!

17.01.2022 Another happy client! We'd love to come and do the same for you, too.

16.01.2022 Pantry shelving in one day! Got some space that you need better utilised? This busy Inner West family had a kitchen design that centred around using this space as a pantry and food prep area. Needless to say - without shelves, it wasn't working!... I'm a fan of this Flexi Storage system (available at Bunnings) that allows people to pick and choose a layout that works for them, from shelves to baskets and drawers, and the like. Plus best of all, it's quick to install, and so much cheaper than having built-in cabinets made from a joinery shop!

15.01.2022 One of the most complicated small decks I've ever built! Architect-designed and specified details meant that this wasn't the quickest or easiest way to frame this shape, but I'll always find solutions when the design requires it. The deck design incorporated a frameless glass pool fence, to provide bleacher style pool-side seating.... In the end, it came up as the perfect finishing touch for this Inner West house extension and renovation.

13.01.2022 It was a pleasure to get creative with some chunky hardwood as a finishing touch to this beautiful renovation in Pyrmont recently!

11.01.2022 Fun little bike shed project in the Inner West! Check out the creative use of a small backyard for a 3 child, bike-loving family. We utilised the limited space for this active household, who opted for bike storage and a child friendly backyard. The exterior cedar cladding matches the existing backyard feature and blends in perfectly. Family = super happy! ... I love creative projects like this and look forward to discussing possible solutions for your lifestyle with you!

09.01.2022 This spotted gum mezzanine bed was part 2 of a recent job. With a growing family, it was time for the children to have their own bedrooms. Fortunately, a walk through living area was easily converted into a cosy tv room and small bedroom by building a dividing wall, with a cavity sliding door. The mezzanine bed was always part of the plan, so supporting timbers and the perfect measurements for the mattress were allowed for. Although hard to capture in a photo, its a decent sized, fun and stylish bedroom for a young lady.

07.01.2022 Ta-da! Before - slightly sad window replacement, untidy & not overhanging brick work, insufficient timber sill, poor weather proofing, and no shade. After - revitalised windows, federation feature, timber sill replaced, untidy brickwork covered, weather-proofed and shaded. ... Overall uplift and vast improvement = very happy client. All objectives achieved! Thanks Helen for trusting me with this special job.

07.01.2022 With a 4 metre drop and exposed gap at the fence, and no opportunity to install additional footings, fortunately there was just enough solid foundations to finish a deck others had left incomplete. Additionally, the need to maintain easy access to the sewer easement required some creative framing.

06.01.2022 Ive been completing my own construction project lately and her education on all things wood and timber has already started! More pics of completed day jobs coming soon! Happy new year.

05.01.2022 I get so many calls about building and installing gates, and it's something I really enjoy doing. This one was a big boy at nearly 1.2 metres wide. It was much needed as this client is going through the process of adopting a large dog... hopefully!
