25.01.2022 2020 BLACKBELT GRADINGS From our youngest at 10 years of age to our biggest men, the oldest being 59, we had 11 students grading for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Blackbelt, After an unprecedented year our Dojo has shown the character and spirit that has accumulated to an extraordinary display of spirit over 3 days of Gradings from Juniors through to Senior Blackbelts. To everyone, congratulations, not just on your promotions, but showing yourself what you can achieve in what has been a challenging year. To all our Blackbelts, thank you for the support and guidance you have given to all students throughout 2020.

25.01.2022 THE SONIC Richard Hampson, aka "The Sonic" started his training with us at age 8. Now 47 he has maintained the skills that created the name. This mornings execution of a 360 degree jump back kick in preparation for next weeks gradings. All class.

24.01.2022 PRISTINE LOCATION - Session number 3. 6.30am to 8.30am. Sunday mornings at Greenfield Beach, Jervis Bay is always a favourite part of our annual training camp. We do the 6 kilometre loop to Chinaman's Beach for our hill sprints after sparring and pad work, finishing off with our end of camp swim before a well-earned hearty breakfast! Top job from everyone that attended.

22.01.2022 LAST SATURDAY MORNING For the last session on a Saturday for 2020, it was all mental toughness in preparation for 3 days of gradings at the end of next week. Saturday mornings are always a pleasurable session for me to take. No mid week stresses and obligations, just a Saturday morning training together. Thanks for the ride this year, its been magic.

20.01.2022 SELF DEFENCE DAY. What an afternoon of self discovery for all the new students who joined our Mens & Womens Self Defence Day this afternoon, more women than men which was great to see. Its amazing what 2hrs will do to someone's confidence from not knowing anything, to learning and practising some self defence skills. The biggest thing is overcoming the fear to strike back. Today we saw some amazing achievements and courage in that area. A big thank you to those who attended and to those Dojo Students and Blackbelts attackers who offered encouragement and support. Anything is possible once you make the commitment to do it. Well done, and congratulations on a tremendous effort. Check out these amazing photos taken within a 2 hour period, impressive!

19.01.2022 LEARNING SOMETHING NEW. From nerves to confidence. What a difference 2hrs can make!

18.01.2022 Thanks Caspian, awesome collection .... how good are they . Side Kick, Spin Back Kick, Jump Side Kick, Flying Side Kick, single roofing tile break

18.01.2022 LAST 5.30AM SESSION. No more Training at 5.30am as the sun rises for a few weeks. Our last early morning session this morning was leg work, stretch and strength. Coffee from Cafe2U arrived as normal, but this time everyone hung around and just chilled. To the morning crew, well done on your commitment to train at this time slot in 2020, in all weather, whether hot or freezing cold, you’re always there

18.01.2022 THE YEAR OF RESILIENCE 2020 has been a year like no other, especially for young people who have felt it more than adults. To celebrate all our Juniors and recognise their exceptional abilities to adapt and overcome, we are awarding every Super-Kid at our Juniors end of your gradings next Thursday with a medal to signify this year's achievements. Each medal is 7 centimetres in diameter, gold embossed with the "resilience 2020" engraved. Congratulations to all our Juniors for a job well done in 2020.

17.01.2022 SENIOR BLACKBELT GRADINGS. What an extraordinary performance by all those who attempted 2nd and 3rd Dan Blackbelt examinations yesterday. Another fantastic montage of photos taken by Daniel Barden depicting the intensity, emotion and commitment by all who participated in this, one of the hardest Blackbelt examinations under our system. Congratulations to Lenny Davis, John Biasetto and Michael Polich, with recognition to Ryan Strauss for his extraordinary effort. Osu.

17.01.2022 SENSEI LUKE HEFFERNAN Happy birthday to our 2nd Ranked Senior, Sensei Luke Heffernan. Luke started his training in his early teenage years, now 45 (today) his contribution and influence to all our Blackbelts and student members has been invaluable. Known for his quiet demeanour he is all business when it comes to his training, skill and knowledge. Thanks for your unwavering support over all these years mate. Have a great day. Jim

06.01.2022 BAG WORK AT 5.30AM Good hit out this morning at 5.30am. Of course we have our own Nick from Cafe2U turning up every morning at the right time for when we finish.

04.01.2022 GRADING 2 - ADULT SENIORS Grading number 2 didn't disappoint last night. 3 and a half solid hours tested ever bit of ability, endurance and their being. From our new White belts grading in their first test, to our Brown belts attempting their 1st grade examinations (black tip) it was all go from the start. A very hard and dedicated 6mths of preparation paid off. Congratulations for a outstanding performance.

04.01.2022 WHAT A DIFFERENCE A BLACKBELT MAKES: Young Aly Parker attained her Blackbelt December 2019, nearly one year ago. What a difference it has made to her. The last 12 mths has been all growth and confidence. Here she is destroying a double 2-board break on Saturday.
