24.01.2022 Great to join Anne Monceaux - Mayor of Burnside and the team at the Conyngham Street Mens Shed this morning.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to Sturt constituent Professor Peter Vietch, part of the team that has been awarded the top prize in the Prime Minister’s 2020 Prizes for Science for discovering gravitational waves.

21.01.2022 Today, the Government’s Job-ready Graduates legislation passed the Parliament, creating more university places from next year and making it cheaper to study subjects in areas of expected job growth. This will create up to 30,000 additional university places for Australian students next year, when combined with the 12,000 places announced in Tuesday’s Budget. Australia’s economic recovery will be built on our strengths, and that includes a highly skilled workforce.

20.01.2022 Good call Premier Steven Marshall. It’s early days but this is great news. A heartfelt thanks for the efforts and cooperation of South Australians. Well done to... you all. I’m encouraged to see the temporary restrictions not lasting one moment longer than necessary, as promised. Looking forward to seeing SA back to work and open again on Sunday. Practicing #COVIDSafe social behaviours along with strong testing, tracing and a strong local health response will enable SA to now stay ahead of the virus. So please stay COVIDSafe, pay attention to news from the SA Government and SA Health, so we can all keep saving lives, and saving livelihoods in SA and across the country.

Thank you to Mark, David, Robert and the team for your hospitality!

14.01.2022 This Remembrance Day, I took the opportunity to make some brief remarks to the Parliament honouring the life of South Australian Victoria Cross recipient, Brigadier Arthur Blackburn VC, CMG, CBE, ED, JP. Lest we forget.

13.01.2022 Each year on this day we stop to observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who served in all wars and armed conflicts. November 11 marks 102 years since the Armistice which led to the end of the First World War on November 11, 1918. This photo from the Australian War Memorial website shows a huge crowd gathered at Parliament House in Adelaide for the Declaration of the Signing of the Armistice all those years ago.... Lest we forget.

05.01.2022 Onsite today with Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, Premier Steven Marshall and State Transport Minister Corey Wingard at the Magill Rd/Portrush Rd intersection. Part of the Commonwealth Urban Congestion Fund, this upgrade addresses significant road congestion and will keep tr...affic flowing. The upgrade will: improve travel times; improve safety for all users; improve network reliability; improve economic productivity.

05.01.2022 An historic day at the Norwood Football Club as we joined Premier Steven Marshall for the formal opening of the Wolf Blass Community Centre! This incredible community facility was made possible in large part thanks to the generous donations of Mr Wolf Blass and other generous members of the community. The new facilities include a new function centre, new change room facilities, disabled facilities with a viewing platform, as well as improved player medical rooms.... The Federal Government contributed $250k to enable this worthwhile project through the Community Development Grants Programme. A massive thank you to all involved for bringing this incredible project to life.

04.01.2022 Announced today, the JobSeeker coronavirus supplement will be extended to March 2021. We’re focussed on striking the right balance between providing temporary elevated levels of support for Australians hardest hit by the economic impact of the pandemic but at the same time creating incentives for people to re-engage with the workforce.
