25.01.2022 Set up nearly done, see you at 5

24.01.2022 Dear gymnastics parents, Thank you for your support this year, what a fantastic semester it has been! It’s great to see the improvement our gymnasts have made and they have been a pleasure to coach. Our end of term will wrap up NEXT MONDAY 23rd September. This will run as a joint session from 5-7pm including a medal presentation.... We would love to get the big trampoline out on this night so if anyone is available to help set up before the session starts that would be greatly appreciated! Leah and I have been discussing and we would like to offer extended training into Term 4 for weeks 1-4 for anyone who is interested. Depending on numbers, we will potentially run this as a joint class focusing more closely on individual skills and progressions. There will be a sign up sheet for those who are interested on presentation night. We have also had a lot of interest in adults gymnastics. Currently both Leah and I train for and compete in Master’s Gymnastics and are also qualified to coach it. As a fundraiser this year we are thinking of running an adults night on Monday the 11th November. $10 for a 2 hour session. We will have more information on this soon and it will be an open invitation to the public so please mark it in your diaries! We strongly encourage anyone to have a go, no experience needed! It’s amazing how much fun you can have walking on the beam, swinging on the bar or jumping on the air track! Thanks, Steph, Leah and Jamestown Gymnastics Committee

20.01.2022 Thank you very much to everyone that helped or offered Monday. Having extra people watch each session gives both coaches the chance to work with each gymnast and further skill development. Everyone is improving so much and we love seeing these achievements. All gymnasts can forward roll without assistance and we're only half way through the season! Arm strength improves every week and being able to hold your own body weight is a skill for life.

20.01.2022 **Change of location and time for tonight's training** Hi everyone! Due to the school gym being used for parent-teacher interviews tomorrow night we are going to change location for gymnastics. Please meet at 5pm at the front door of the BIG SHED. We will be spending half an hour doing outside activities and then moving onto the Big Shed green for an hour finishing at 6:30pm. ... Could you please make sure the kids wear enclosed footwear that they can run in and a drink bottle. Also a beach towel or yoga mat. Look forward to seeing everyone! Bring your little ones down for lots of fun ... 9.30 - 10.30am @ JCS Gymnasium Entry: $1 for babies - $2 for toddlers/preschool Playgroup SA memberships - $35 per family per year (early bird) or $40 (full fee) after 16/3 - first couple of sessions dont require a membership, so you can come and see what we are all about We hope to see you there

15.01.2022 Not as many gymnasts tonight but those that did attend worked very hard on their upper body strength and body shape. Thank you Tracey for coming out of retirement while Steph is holidaying overseas. Thank you again to our 2 mum helpers on floor. (Yes, I did see you both trying skills ) Thank you also to everyone that helped with set up and pack up. See you all next week

01.01.2022 What a great finish to gymnastics for 2019! A big thank you to our committee and parents for their contribution and support throughout the year, it has been greatly appreciated! Our gymnasts have done an amazing job this year developing their skills and having fun training as a team! They should all be very proud of themselves and what they have achieved!! A special mention to those that came to our adults night! Not many could make it in the end but for the few who did, we had a blast! It was very impressive to see the skills everyone achieved in a couple of hours. It takes even more strength, balance, co-ordination and determination to do this sport as an adult and these ladies smashed it Stay tuned in the new year for info regarding Jamestown Gymnastics in 2020.
