25.01.2022 UPDATED ANTONOV DEPARTURE: Please note departure time is now estimated at 11.30am tomorrow. After a sojourn in Adelaide, the Antonov 124 is scheduled to depart... at 11.30am tomorrow for Honolulu . We ask our followers to be mindful that the departure time is set by the airline and is subject to change at their discretion - even at the very last minute. While schedule changes are out of our control, we will endeavour to do our best to pass updates on to our interested followers where possible. The runway that the Antonov departs from will be subject to conditions on the day, but an easy way to work it out for yourself can be to view the runway other aircraft are departing from that morning (using a flight tracker app or in-person from one of our airport viewing locations). In the meantime, please follow our page and click see first in feed, to make sure that any updates we are able to post, appear prominently in your feed. 20.01.2022 Adelaide, this weekend is our chance to farewell the Queen of the Skies The much loved Qantas Boeing 747 will touch down in Adelaide for the very last time t...his weekend, as part of a special farewell tour before 747s are withdrawn from the Qantas fleet in 2020. For those hoping to catch a glimpse, the details according to Qantas schedules are: Arrival: 8.15pm Sat 23 Nov. (Flight tracking: QF743) It will then operate as a charter flight to Antarctica, departing 8am on Sun 24th and returning approximately 9pm that evening. Departure: 12.35pm Mon 25 Nov. We have been working closely with the talented Danielle and Joel who came to Angel Flight... and offered to volunteer their time and skills to produce this incredibly heartwarming film. 20.01.2022 Lets go back in time to 23/10/1994 Dick Smith is with Nancy Bird-Walton in front of the Southern Cross replica in Jamestown. They were here to open the Sir Hubert Wilkins Visitor Centre. Many will have heard of Dick Smith having been the first to fly a helicopter solo around the world, plus to the North Pole. 13.01.2022 It deeply saddens the Jamestown Air Spectacular to hear of the passing of Dick Lang and his Son Clayton in the Kangaroo Island Fires, our thoughts are with their families during this difficult time. Dick was a valued display pilot at the Jamestown Air Spectacular most recently in 2015 in his King Air. The morning of that airshow Dick made a very substantial donation to the Committee and never told anyone about it. We are truly grateful for his generosity and support. May they Rest In Peace

The much loved Qantas Boeing 747 will touch down in Adelaide for the very last time this month, as part of a special farewell tour before 747s... are withdrawn from the Qantas fleet in 2020. Recognising that the 747 holds a special place in the hearts of many Australians, Qantas scheduled eight domestic services from Australian cities starting this weekend - giving passengers the chance to fly on the jumbo with no need for a passport!
