17.01.2022 You may or may not know, but today is World Music Day! Our Vacation Care children have been spending the day exploring different types of music from various cul...tures and languages. We were very lucky to have a performance from Jamey and Kelly, who sang us some wonderful songs in both English and Jameys Aboriginal Language. Jamey exposed the children to Story Telling through song which was very interesting. It was fascinating to hear the didgeridoo through the backing music too! The children had a blast when given the opportunity to dance! It was great to see lots of movement, clapping and actions happening! World Music Day allows the children to explore and celebrate diverse cultures, whilst using their physical skills to engage in dance and creative movement! (Early Years Learning Framework - Outcome 2.2 & 3.2) Stay tuned for more World Music Day fun later!
