24.01.2022 There is no doubt that the climate of our planet is changing. Yes, the climate has changed throughout history but never at the rate over the past 100 years due to human activities. Greenhouse gases have accumulated in the atmosphere due to our excessive use of fossil fuels. The scaling up of agriculture, deforestation and waste are all major contributors with populations of native animals, plants & insects plummeting. Forests, especially rainforests, including hydrological cy...cles & coral reef ecosystems are all under threat. The science is clear and sadly our political leaders remain blind to this reality. Change still needs to come from our governments and business leaders, but as individuals, we need to act on the science, not the politics of climate change. All this is very close to my heart which is why I'm donating 100% of my fee from a 6-hour wedding package to Rainforest Rescue who do incredible work restoring rainforests, protecting and preserving vital biodiversity. There is a much larger picture going on & as a collective of individuals, we can make a positive impact for the future of Mother Earth. Remember, we are all in this together. If you know of anyone getting married who shares the same values and beliefs, I would love to hear from you. Just mention this post via my contact form on my website. {jamiemurcutt.com} Be well, Jamie x

11.01.2022 So much to be grateful for on this incredible planet. There may be lots of talk of social distancing at the moment, but that doesn't mean distancing yourself from the natural world so go hug a tree, smell a flower, just observe & breathe. ~ Thank you to all my couples reaching out this last week to check in - its reminded me how grateful I am to call this my career. Remember, we are all in this together so if anyone needs a chat please reach out. This too shall pass. Love, Calm & Plants Be well, Jamie
