19.01.2022 Hey everyone. This post is a congratulations post for Krystal. Krystal turned up to training today with a huge smile of success. She leaped out of the Ute with excitement to tell me that she won the year 8 academic excellence award for top academic award, academic achievement award in English, honourable mention in year 8 science and humanities, student of the month for October/ November. Krystal has achieved all these accolades whilst training 4 times a week with Rising Star Hockey Academy and North West Lightning Academy. Congratulations Krystal. It’s not an easy process chasing dreams and juggling competing priorities however Krystal does this every week and always with a smile. Proud of you K
18.01.2022 When the apprentice comes home to help coach. Hayley, Rising Stars first athlete has come home from Uni. Hayley plays Premier League for Forrestville HC in Adelaide. One of her key roles is Drag Flicking on PC’s. What a great opportunity and experience for Krystal to learn from a local player that has never taken no for an answer and has pushed herself time and time again. Hayley’s resilience, knowledge and motivation has been commendable the last 4 years of her journey. Super proud.

We are so grateful for all of you and the role you have all played in getting Rising Star to where it is today! We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and we can’t wait to see you all again in the new year!!

It's been a pleasure seeing Aaron grow through the levels at the Sunraysia Hockey Association and we are blessed to have him join us in 2020 at the Academy as a Platinum Member. Aaron displays leadership, dedication, respect, maturity and a desire to achieve by always putting in 110%. He is currently playing for the U...18 Hydra team recently established by the SHA to ensure NO juniors miss out on hockey during Covid. 10.01.2022 Here at Rising Star Hockey Academy we have designed a specialist program to prepare senior and junior players with the necessary skills and fitness for the upcoming season in 2021. This program is open to a range of players such as those looking at getting back into the hockey mindset after a season off and to any players looking to further their hockey career into state team both in South Australia and Victoria. Our main focus during this program is to offer guidance on f...urther developing your individual skills and team play. We are also aiming to increase your fitness and game awareness. The summer program will commence on Friday 13th November and the final session will be Friday 18th December and is currently priced at $250. Our coaching team include our Director and Head Coach Jamie Pain and our newest recruit Jade Chapman. 06.01.2022 When your athletes live, breath and get hair cuts in the logo of their favourite hockey academy This is Danil, one of our youngest athletes. He is a pocket rocket who is like an energiser bunny on the pitch! You will find him lurking around the attacking goals, darting here and there to make a lead.... Goals are his thing! Running comes easy to him! He is a little legend and great role model for his brother who will be joining the RSHA in 2021. It's a privilege to have him and his family at the RSHA! 04.01.2022 Hey RSH Community! Whilst we appeared to be MIA over the past few months (with the rest of the world!), we can assure you we have not taken the foot off the pedal. Our academy athletes are in full swing and preparing for the return of the season. They are all blowing our minds with their commitment, enthusiasm and passion for the game we all love.... At Rising Star Hockey, we are extremely proud of our athletes. We thank the parents and the RSH community whom support our rising star athletes. We have some exciting news to share and will reveal ALL very soon. Having only been in business less than 2 years, we can't believe the opportunities we are being given. "Reaching your goals is easier than staying stuck where you are. Many take the hard road and settle, mistaking this as the easier option." When you chase your dreams, YOU are in control of your life. 02.01.2022 2020 Malaysia Tour with the Australian U21 Country team. I had a awesome time meeting and training athletes from Malaysia.

But often we look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we fail to see the one that has opened for us." ~ Helen Keller I still play hockey.. at local level and VL1 level.. and I'm just shy of my 45th birthday! I'll probably die with a hockey stick as my walking stick because I am extremely passionate about the game. However with the restrictions in place and not being able to play, I had an opportunity to focus my attentio...n on coaching. Our local league (SHA) have worked tirelessly to arrange for our juniors to jump into a mixed U18 competition to ensure at least our young ones can play the game they also love. This is a first for Sunraysia Hockey Association. Today this team (Now known at the U18 Dragons Team Sunraysia Hockey Association) played with passion, guts, teamwork and support for each other having been combined from 4 separate clubs. PROUD of what they achieved is an understatement! We had the hard task of playing against the also newly formed U18 Hydras who displayed a wealth of experience. A win for the Dragons in an 'on the edge of your seat' 4-3 final score. Massive shout out to everyone who made this possible today for the future of hockey in Mildura
