25.01.2022 Wow! What a wonderful photo of the old Mitchells Homestead

25.01.2022 And more Mitchell's Homestead from Friends of GRSC!!

24.01.2022 We've had some recent requests for this book, but sadly, we have no more in stock and it's out of print. Reprinting a book of this quality is an expensive exercise, so we need to know if this is feasible. So, before the Historical Society commits to a reprint, we need to gauge demand for this wonderful book by Brian Lloyd. Let us know by comments to this post, or email us at [email protected], if you are interested in purchasing a copy.

20.01.2022 Australia Day Weekend at The Shed Its been a long time between drinks but we're back!!!! Having missed our biggest fundraising event of the year in 2020, as cov...id forced our annual easter weekend to be cancelled, we are hoping to kick off 2021 with a full licensed bar on Friday 22nd, Saturday the 23rd and Sunday 24th of January. As always running the bar requires as many hands to volunteer as possible or we simply cant go ahead. Please message the page directly if you are able to offer some assistance or work a shift in the bar. While we are sure there will be plenty of local and familiar faces about, with the recent heavy influx of campers and holiday makers that have been visiting the area post covid, and the unfortunate closing of the kevvy hotel which was always a popular spot due to the annual Regatta, we are sure there will be a lot of new faces popping in and supporting our local community also. There is plenty of free camping available at the cricket ground as always, and we would like to remind everyone that the shed is strictly a dog free zone during licensed events, for the safety of all our patrons and visitors. We also prohibit any BYO as our licence simply doesnt cover this option. All relevant covid safety requirements will be adhered to in order to make the weekend a safe and enjoyeable event for everyone. *****We are also a cash only service at the moment as we havent had an oppurtunity to sort our eftpos situation as yet*****
