25.01.2022 Well that was an interesting night!! On behalf of Jamison LAC, thank you to all who came out to give the night a chance. While the rain was fun, unfortunately the thunder and lightning was a showstopper. Thank you to everyone who helped set up and pack up, the club could not run without you!... Let’s hope for better weather next week.

Please remember that upon arrival, everyone must COVID check in and maintain 1.5m social distancing. ... We will be subjected to random checks by NSW Police and NSW Health. Anyone found not to be social distancing will be issued fines by said authorities.

21.01.2022 Thankyou parents for your understanding tonight. The first night is always the hardest and not being able to have the tracked marked caused quite a bit of confusion and disorganisation. From what I saw, all the kids had fun learning some new events tonight. ... We will endeavour to have our age managers sorted prior to starting. You don’t have to do it every week but if you could get together and work with the other parents in that age group, it will help the events run smoothly. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

21.01.2022 WET OR EXTREME WEATHER Decisions regarding wet or extreme weather are made by the Executive Committee on the day of competition and are never made lightly. Any decision to postpone competition or cancel the evening will always be made within the guidelines set by Little Athletics NSW with the safety of our athletes, volunteers and officials in mind. We aim to notify any changes by 3:30pm on Fridays, and make our final decision by 4:30pm, however, always assume competition is on unless, or until, we state otherwise Any full program week cancelled will be run the following week.

11.01.2022 Training will be from 4:30pm this Wednesday (4/11/20), and conclude at 5:30pm for ages groups U6 and above. Events covered will be sprints and shot put. Our 5:45pm specialist session will focus on Sprints. This is for ages 9 and above only, and is specifically for those who are looking to achieve advanced technical coaching. ... Athletes are required to have a basic knowledge of the stages of a sprint and middle distance run. This session will likely run until 7:15pm Please remember to maintain a minimum 1.5m distance at all times and please ensure you COVID sign in upon arrival.

07.01.2022 Important information for parents regarding our first night of competition.... It is with regret that we need to postpone our first night of competition which was scheduled for tomorrow night, Friday 25 September. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 and that the soccer season was extended, we were unable to get our lanes marked in time for tomorrow night. ... We understand that is frustrating but thank you for understanding. We are currently working with the soccer club and we are hoping that the lanes will be able to marked in time for next FRIDAY 2nd October. Last year we were restricted due to extreme heat and the fire/smoke conditions. This year, it’s Covid 19. BUT GOOD NEWS FOR TINY TOTS! We can still run our tiny tot events as per program with the start time of 6pm. We will have limited committee members at the oval for pack pick ups and if anyone has any questions or would like to have a look around. Regards Jamison Little Athletics committee.

05.01.2022 Little Athletics Nsw State Championships Update For Under 9’s To 12’s The Region 6 State Qualifying Carnival Is Scheduled For The 6-7th February 2021, At Blacktown International Sports-park Athletics Centre. To Be Eligible To Attend This Meet Parents Will Need To Fill In An Official Entry Form For Their Child. The Entry Form Will Include The Events They Wish To Enter With Their Season Best Result. Please Note The Carnival Is Capped And Only The Top Times/Distances (Located In... The Tables Below) For Each Event And Age Group For Our Region Will Be Able To Attend. Each Participant Is Only Able To Enter Up To Four (4) Events, And The Qualifying Standards Are Able To Be Achieved At Your Centre, Another Centre Or Any Gala Day/Meet Hosted In A Zone And Region In Nsw In The 2020/2021 Season. The Entry Forms Need To Be Filled In And Returned To Us By The 20th December 2020. 04.01.2022 What a beautiful backdrop we had on Friday night! 6/11/2020 It’s been great watching all our athletes having fun and supporting each other in their events each week. ... Don’t forget our delicious sausage sizzle each Friday night for all the hungry athletes and their parents. Also a big thankyou to our volunteer age managers each week and the Jamison Little Athletics Committee who work hard behind the scenes not only on a Friday night but during the week. It takes a great team to work together in setting up our Friday nights competition, canteen and BBQ. It often means that our recorders, starters, canteen and BBQ parents don’t get to watch their own children. Our aim for Jamison Little Athletics is to create a fun and family orientated club where everyone feels welcome.
