24.01.2022 Stage 3 are busy studying animal adaptations that help them survive in their environments

23.01.2022 In class yesterday, stage 3 were drawing and painting rainbow serpents for upcoming Naidoc Week. Naidoc week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a school we will recognise this day in Week 5 of next term.

19.01.2022 In library this week Stage 1 enjoyed a story called The Spotty Dotty Lady by Josie Boyle and Fern Martins. The students made some beautiful spotty dotty flowers that we will use to decorate the library next term. Stage 1 students were also keen to borrow lots of books to read over the school holidays. 19.01.2022 LC orange have written acrostic poems about wirambi. Wirambi is the Darug word for flying fox or fruit bat. Wirambi are very important to the Darug people.

18.01.2022 It was a busy day at JPS today for Kindergarten. They started the day using their critical and creative thinking skills to build a shelter for their teddies. The shelter they built needed to protect their teddies from sun, rain and wind. The shelters created were fantastic! Then it was time for a picnic with their Year 6 Buddies and of course their teddies.

18.01.2022 What a fun filled last day of term we had today. There were teddy bear picnics, Easter egg hunts and to finish the day an Easter hat parade. Too many photos to share all at once, so here are some of the Kindergarten and Year 6 Buddy teddy bear picnic. We will share the other photos throughout the weekend so keep an eye out. Happy holidays everyone.

14.01.2022 Students in Stage 2 have been delivering their oral presentations this week. Each student receives teacher feedback, peer feedback and completes a self-reflection. One Year 3 and one Year 4 student from each class will be chosen to participate in the Stage 2 Speak Off. All students should be proud of their efforts and use the feedback they receive to improve their public speaking skills.

08.01.2022 Our Fun Run prizes have arrived and are getting sent home today. Thankyou to those within our school community who have donated funds to this event. Our exciting Colour Run will be held this Friday!
