24.01.2022 I haven’t posted for a while... life is hectic here. Here are some photos of what went on in the #JamLadyJam kitchen today. My partner Richard Hauptmann has been very unwell since December 2014. He has a significant ABI caused by a very rare autoimmune disease called Central Nervous System Vasculitis, he has suffered multiple strokes. This past year we have had the great privilege of of having a carer come on a Tuesday. I call her the culinary carer. Her name is Roberta an...d the difference she has made in our life is priceless. Roberta has encouraged Richard back into his recipe books and into that part of his brain that he couldn’t remember, back to the bone and the knife and the heat of the pan....back into the domestic kitchen, cooking dinners for Carmen and I. He started at one meal and now it’s a few nights a week. It may not seem a lot but when I think about the state he was in 2015-16 it’s hard to believe his progress. Tonight veal ravioli, served with zucchini, lemon zest and of course butter! I need to say Thankyou to all our friends who have helped Richard, Carmen and I over the past three and a half years.
