10.01.2022 Morning sharks ! I hope you are all safe and getting each other through these tough times as sharks always do. There have been some very important phone calls over the last few weeks regarding our playing list, and from that some very exciting news. ... Despite some very lucrative and appealing offers our star batsman Ben Grinter has decided the friendship and camaraderie at the sharks was too good to leave and has put pen to paper for another season. This is a true indication of the Bens character and we are delighted to have him and his family around the club. We all cant wait to see him continue to dominate sides! In another major boost for the club , our bowling stocks will continue to be led by our homegrown star Nicky Smith who also turned his back on offers to play a higher level of cricket. After another dominant season we all cant wait to again watch Nicky steam roll through top orders next season. After an impressive first season with the club, Travis Parsons is also back on board. Travs commitment to the club cant be underestimated, travelling to and from Ballarat each week. Again the welcoming of Trav last season by all players and supporters has meant the drive for him is easy. Cant wait to see you plunder attacks next season mate! The last of our good news is that Andrew Murden will continue in his role as A grade captain. We all saw the professionalism and relationships he built last year and look forward to seeing where he can take this group! Look after the knees mate! Some good news for us all in a hard time ! Lets continue to support our sponsors and ensure we get them through this difficult time. Support local, support your mates and I cant wait for a beer with you all when it passes! Coach Jordy

10.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of past player Craig Hornsey after a long battle with illness. Craig was a key player in getting our initial 4ths team up and running to play with his two boys Ben and Tom who both went on to play in Jucs only A Grade premiership. Craig captioned the 4ths for the best part of 5 seasons and was a great example and mentor to many junior and senior players who started their cricket under his guidance, and in his own right wa...s a bloody handy cricketer with both bat and ball. The committee, members and players pass their condolences on to Ben, Tom and all the family. RIP Craig, you will be sadly missed

04.01.2022 Signing announcement Jan Juc cricket club would like to announce the recruitment of two new top-order batsmen. Its with great pleasure and excitement we announce Hamish Withers and brother Jordi Withers have put pen to paper for the upcoming season. ... Hamish has already played with us and was a loved member and effective top-order batsman. He brings with him Jordi, who belted a staggering 1,000 runs at an average of 60 last season. Jordi was also in the final squad of 14 for the VIC under 19s and has been in state sides throughout his early career. This is a huge announcement for the club and addition to sides who contested at the business end last year. Spots are going to be hotly contested so put in the work and be rewarded. We as a club have unfinished business after last season so jump on board and welcome Hamish and Jordi! Training will kick off August 9 at Barwon Valley 10.30-12. Stay tuned for updates as it could change due to restrictions! Time for redemption Coach Jordy
