02.01.2022 Meet the artist and the artwork... Never in a million years would I have thought that owning a caravan and travelling around Australia with the hubby would have inspired me to create the artwork I create and still be doing it 5 years later, bringing original stone pictures to the homes of so many wonderful people far and wide. While I was wandering along a North Australian beach, shoes in one hand and the sand squeaking beneath my toes, I found inspiration in nature and all... the amazing stones she had created over time. The colours, shapes and textures gave me an idea.... and that idea quickly turned into a work of art and a small business. Each piece I create is carefully made using all sorts of different stones collected from beaches all around Australia. Each stone is purposefully selected to represent people, animals, birds, cars and everything in between. Once the stones are glued in place, the design is framed up and sold to you as the original. While some designs are sometimes recreated, no two pictures are ever the same. You own an original piece every time you purchase my artwork. Its a collaboration between Mother Nature and Myself and I love that!
