23.01.2022 "Director Carissa Licciardello challenges our understanding of physiology - analysing our need to sneeze, blink, shiver, love or to hate. She calls on our own instinctual responses by washing the audience with adrenaline and completely immersing us into the tension." - Playwave "The plot is far more deceptive than it seems. The performance plays with the fragmentation of memory, as not even the researchers can clearly remember their past. Suppressing their emotions both inter...nally and externally, this begs the essential question as to which group of the two is the most human." - State of the Art We're back on for another week of fun! Make sure you come along and watch 'Extinction of the Learned Response' before it's too late! It's on until the 25th of May, Downstairs Theatre - Belvoir Street Theatre. $25. 21.01.2022 "The obsession with money and status in Van De Maar Papers encourages us to question our own values. Juxtaposed against the inevitability of death, we are struck by the intensity with which the shallow and the materialistic can overwhelm and determine every course of action." - Suzy Goes See "The content of the papers themselves fulsomely quoted in several scenes is vivid and hilarious. Think Georges Bataille’s History of the Eye meets Norman Lindsay." - Audrey Journal Co...me catch Van De Maar Papers, in association with Ratcatch and Old 505 Theatre, before it's done next week! 20.01.2022 Another little #throwback, on a show that was put on at Charles Sturt University, in 2017, where I worked on as one of three Stage Managers. A show about millennials for millennials, this second year production was an interesting one for sure! : Sophie Fitzgerald

20.01.2022 Didn’t get a chance to see Van De Maar Papers but you want to read it? Well now you can! It’s amazing to hear that this production is now published on Australian Plays! Check out the post below by Ratcatch for further info.

18.01.2022 "When you summarise the plot it sounds like the perfect set up for some good, old-fashioned farce, but it's not. There are comedic elements, sure, and there are moments where the show feels like it teeters on the edge of becoming a full-blown comedy, but instead the show veers steadily away from this in favour of an exploration about the nature of identity and family politics." - Theatre Travels 'Van De Maar Papers', in association with Ratcatch and the Old 505 Theatre, is ba...ck on Tuesday and finishes on Saturday THIS WEEK. Make sure you grab your tickets to this fab show before it's gone! Wanna know where to snag some? Link is here: https://old505theatre.com//van-de-maar-papers-1542597868.h : Clare Hawley

17.01.2022 "The patriarch is dead, a prominent name is under fire, and someone has fucked a peacock." Very keen to be working on another production at the Old 505 Theatre coming up soon, this time as Lighting/Sound Operator! Wanna know more about it? Check out the link here: https://old505theatre.com//van-de-maar-papers-1542597868.h

16.01.2022 I'm so very fortunate & honoured to be one of the Production Assistants for the 'IGNITE COLLECTIVE', in association with New Ghosts Theatre Company - an initiative which involves emerging and established female playwrights and creatives to create works for female performers. However, we need YOUR help to make everything come together, by donating and/or spreading the good word! If successful, our crowd funding campaign will give us starting capital for our 2019 production. A...s well, with every donation that is above $2 is tax deductible - any contribution, big or small, is much appreciated. If you can't donate, that is all good! Help by sharing around and spreading the word!

15.01.2022 I’m so incredibly proud to be a part of this show, with Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp), as Stage Manager. And best of all, we preview tonight! Check out the article by Audrey Journal, and make sure you grab tickets before it’s too late!

13.01.2022 There’s plenty of more exciting, new productions that I am so excited to share with you all soon! But for now, I would like to share two things involving the Bachelor of Theatre/Media degree at Charles Sturt University - CSU, with the School of Communication and Creative Industries. Why you may ask? Well, a lot of my previous knowledge came from this degree; from the subjects, to the culture, and the opportunities that you get to be a part of. 1. Sprung Festival is happenin...g from the 25th of September to the 5th of October. As previously mentioned early on this Page, I was involved in the event for a while. The productions look amazing this year, with a whole line up of theatre, art installations and more. I would highly recommend to make the time and go watch the shows! Plus it’s a fun road trip to Bathurst. Check out their website for more info: https://www.sprungfestival.com/ 2. If you are planning to study theatre, I would suggest applying for the Bachelor of Theatre/Media degree at CSU! I’ve learnt so much from this degree, from being a theatre professional to being a sufficient communicator. Wanna know more? See below for more info

08.01.2022 Biggest shoutout to this magnificent lady for making it onto the Australian Women Directors Alliance! I've had the upmost pleasure working alongside Alexandra Moon whilst studying, specifically on 'In Between'. I'm very proud and I can't wait to see where you go from here!

08.01.2022 Eyebrows up and in. Lower lid contracted. Upper lid raised. Lip corners pulled sideways. What is it?... Fear. Good. Extinction of the Learned Response by Emme Hoy kicks off in three weeks. Previews are only $20 so get your hands on tickets now. https://bit.ly/2FQWQcG Photos by Jasmin Simmons

07.01.2022 "April Aardvark is an ATYP Foundation Commission play and written to a daunting brief, which demands a large cast in the 10-13 age range and satisfying parts of roughly equal weight for all involved. Directed by Amy Hardingham, Moncrieff’s script delivers in all departments to create an ensemble piece that gives everyone plenty to do in roles that have a measure of growth and emotional range to them." Thank you to Audrey Journal for the review! We close TOMORROW but we're on TONIGHT 7pm, so make sure you grab some tickets before they're gone!

07.01.2022 It's been a pretty exciting few weeks helping to plan 'UNFOLD', in association with New Ghosts Theatre Company and Red Line Productions at the Old Fitz Theatre! 07.01.2022 Special thanks to Suzy Goes See for the sweet article featuring the cast for 'I (Love) You'! Previews for 'I (Love) You' start TOMORROW. Don't have your tickets yet? Check out the link for further info and get yours now: https://old505theatre.com/shows/i-love-you-1542597594.html

06.01.2022 When one show finishes, another one comes up. I'm back at The Old 505 Theatre, this time working alongside Ladylike Theatre Collective in their newest production called 'I (LOVE) YOU'. It's edgy, romantic and dystopic all in one. You don't want to miss out! Check out the link for more information: https://old505theatre.com/shows/i-love-you-1542597594.html

05.01.2022 "I think theatre 'should' talk about what's happening in the world. New Australian work allows audiences to engage in current, relevant ideas. It also means the form is constantly evolving and reinventing itself, which I love because I'm always being challenged and I don't know what I’ll get when I go to see a new show." Massive shoutout to Eliza Oliver, writer for 'I (Love) You' / Founder of the Ladylike Theatre Collective, and Theatre Travels for the article! Go check it to read more about the show! Wanna know where to get tickets? Check out the link here via Old 505 Theatre: https://old505theatre.com/shows/i-love-you-1542597594.html

05.01.2022 "The promise of some kind of revolt proves gripping and the performances are strong." - Audrey Journal "Rani is particularly good as Marlow...while Meacham and Orton both bring plenty of terror to the stage as two characters completely unsure of their place in the world or how their futures will unfold. Benjamin is appropriately creepy as Duncan, the real monster of the piece." - Time Out Sydney "EXTINCTION OF THE LEARNED RESPONSE is intriguing and also perplexing at times bu...t forces the audience to consider how much we should or should not be trying to manipulate fellow humans for science or sport, as this seems to have degenerated into." - BroadwayWorld Australia "Scope, ambition and intellect are the gifts of this play and its exciting to be in an audience to witness it. Both Emme Hoy and Carissa Licciardello are to be congratulated for their courage and determination, as are Glitterbomb for giving us all the opportunity to see it. Make sure you get along to see this very interesting play." - Lisa Thatcher We had a fantastic Opening Night with a fantastic Q&A last night for Glitterbomb’s 'Extinction of the Learned Response', as part of Belvoir St Theatre’s 25A program! Tickets are still available until the 25th of May, so make sure you grab a ticket or two before it's too late! Link is here for further information: https://belvoir.com.au//extinction-of-the-learned-response/ : Jasmin Simmons

05.01.2022 "Belvoir’s 25A program has proven itself the best value ticket in town over and over in the past year. Its new offering a new play by Emme Hoy looks plenty stimulating." 03.01.2022 Within the last seven weeks, I've been working on Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp)'s production 'April Aardvark' and, quite honestly, it has been an absolute dream. I've always admired ATYP's work since I was 14, and it was one of my big goals to work with them. To be a Stage Manager for one of their productions is an absolute honour, and the whole process has been amazing. I'm so proud of the Cast members. I'm so proud of the Creatives and the Management team. ... Ah, I'm just proud all around. I'm excited for it to premiere at the SBW Stables Theatre in October; tickets are still available, but they're selling quick! See the post below for more information - don't miss out!

01.01.2022 Levi Van De Maar noted industrialist and self-made billionaire has died, leaving friends and relatives to circle like sharks for their piece of the empire. When a stack of his memoirs are discovered with instructions they be published, his cold-blooded widow, the family black sheep, an out-of-luck publisher and an uninspired illustrator all vie for their shot at legacy. We officially begun with previews yesterday for ‘Van De Maar Papers’ at the Old 505 Theatre, in association with Ratcatch, with a bang! It’s a fantastic production with an amazing team. We’re only on until next week, so make sure you grab tickets now! : Clare Hawley
