01.01.2022 Tapping into tourism This morning, I had the opportunity to take representatives of Townsville Enterprise out for a boat tour of Enterprise Channel, Hinchinb...rook Channel and Hinchinbrook Island to showcase the need for infrastructure that will unlock tourism opportunities in our region. That includes projects like the $6 million proposal to dredge Enterprise Channel and build a rock wall to protect a historic spit from further erosion. By building the right marine infrastructure here, we could have more tourism operators working out of this region, as well having safer access for visitors. As your local State MP, I will continue to fight for funding so that game-changing projects like this are realised. Thanks to Johnno from J&B Marine for lending me his boat for the tour.
