23.01.2022 Let’s talk weaves *photo of @hairbymelissa_jandco installation and sewn in method* If you want hair extensions that are super-quick to fit and that won’t cause damage, easy to look after and you can get a gorgeous natural looking full head of hair that is fitted on only a few rows rather than all over your head like other hair extensions.. a weft may be for you.... How are they fitted? The wefts are sewn into your hair on a track of micro rings and fitting can be done and dusted within an hour. The wefts lie flat which means a more natural look and you can tie your hair up without worrying about any bonds being visible, unlike other types of extensions. The weaves don’t use heat or glue, with the weight of the hair being placed evenly over your head they will not cause damage. Weaves are great for people wanting volume and length, and unlike tapes they are pain free (especially when removing) Weaves are so low maintenance and the hair is able to be rescued for up to 12 months. You should be getting your extensions moved up every 8-10 weeks.. but it’s a bonus when you can get in for a sneaky colour in between Looking after them is easy. Wash like normal, using the correct aftercare (sulphate free, parraben free..) and blow drying them after washing. You may find you will be able to get away with washing your hair and styling once a week! When brushing all you have to do is use a detangle brush which will be gentle on the hair. Weaves can be toned and coloured darker but can not be bleached. If you are happy with your length but want to add extra fullness we can allow for a booster weft which can be cut to the same length as your hair to help with volume. If you struggle to grow your hair but would love to have the length we also provide the best quality hair to add to your luscious locks And here’s a bonus; it will help to brighten up and enhance your colour with out having to lighten it all the time.. 01.01.2022 The biggest issue we find with blondes that come to us is what we call Tint toners This is a permanent colour used to toner your roots, this creates a warm colour once faded and a defined regrowth. My client on Friday wanted a beautiful soft root fade to slowly allow her natural regrowth to break through! Achieving a low maintenance colour and turning her salon visits from 6 weeks to 8-10 weeks, we are both really happy with the result! Colour by @jordan_jandcohairstudio
