23.01.2022 Today is International Beer Day, celebrated annually on the first Friday in August. The day began in California in 2007 to show appreciation for brewers, share ...brewing techniques and give tips on how to best enjoy a beer. It quickly gained international recognition and now includes the celebration of bartenders too, in more than 50 countries. Today, we raise a glass to you. We celebrate and thank you the licensees, the brewers, the bartenders. Thank you for your patience and hard work over recent months to adapt to new rules and keep Queensland safe. We know it’s been tough and we appreciate all the effort you’re making to do the right thing. We also know that after much time apart it’s nice to sit down and share a socially distanced beer. If you’re doing that today, or over the weekend, thanks for following the rules and don’t forget to remind your mates to do the same.

23.01.2022 DANCING: Restrictions are changing in Queensland from noon on Monday 14 December. Indoor dancing will be allowed in all venues including pubs, clubs and nightcl...ubs, subject to the one person per two metre rule. Queenslanders have worked hard to stop the spread of COVID-19, which means we can safely get back to more of the activities Queenslanders enjoy and ease some restrictions on businesses.

All funds raised were donated to LifeFlight. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to make the day the success that it was.

20.01.2022 Hey Queensland As we work together to slow the spread of COVID-19, it's vital that you provide the correct contact information when dining in at restaurants a...nd venues. Providing the correct information ensures that in the event of a potential case, our wonderful team of contact tracers will be able to reach you quickly and rapidly respond to the situation, as we have in the past. If you have questions regarding privacy or just want to learn more about the information that is being collected, speak to the venue you are visiting.

05.01.2022 We understand that going out right now isn’t what it used to be. But we also understand that it won’t be this way forever, especially if we all can do our part ...to help Queensland stay healthy and stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Listen to the advice from staff and pay attention to signs at the venue. If you love your local, then let’s make sure we can all continue to enjoy a night out safely.

05.01.2022 Remember to not exceed the one person per 2 square metre limit. Signage, floor markers and reminders from staff are simple ways to encourage social distancing a...mongst patrons. Ensure you have strategies in place to encourage social distancing, particularly for queues to enter your venue, order/collect food and drinks, other congestion points, or between sections of your venue. Rostering and segmenting your staff in sections of your venue can be useful in recovering your business, should a patron with COVID-19 visit your venue.

02.01.2022 If you love your local, then let’s make sure we can all continue to enjoy a night out safely. The Qld Govt’s health requirements means licensed venues can only ...safely open to you under a COVID Safe Checklist or Industry Plan. They aren’t trying to ruin your fun or make things difficult. It is in everyone’s interest that we follow the rules that have been put in place to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qld. Please listen to the advice from staff and pay attention to signs in venues.

02.01.2022 Q. Who needs to wear a mask in a licensed venue? A. Staff: A mask MUST BE worn by all staff interacting with patrons (e.g. greeting and seating guests, servin...g food and drinks). Patrons: DON’T need to wear a mask while seated for dining and drinking. SHOULD wear masks when they cannot socially distance within the venue e.g. entering and exiting the venue. This applies across Queensland. More info on mask wearing http://ow.ly/YhlQ50EcQmN

01.01.2022 BREAKING: From 4pm today, you can grab a drink or meal at your favourite venue without having to be seated. It’s one of the changes we’re making as part of Quee...nsland’s new roadmap to easing restrictions. Your safety is still the most important thing venues must operate with a COVID Safe Plan. We’re able to take these careful steps because of our strong health response and the hard work of Queenslanders. It’s great news for business and our continuing economic recovery, so make sure you get out and support your local this weekend. Cheers, Queensland
