17.01.2022 #OnThisDay in 1817, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion were published posthumously, just a few months after Jane Austen's death. This is the title page from a first edition in our collection. #AustenTreasures

12.01.2022 LOOK AT THE IMPACT WE ARE MAKING! Caroline Jane Knight (our Founder and Chair) visited impoverished regions of Delhi, India recently to visit the Anganwadi cen...tres (public day-care’s for young children) to see firsthand the difference the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation is making to the future of these children and their families. These centres provide access for the children to develop their knowledge and skills, to build strong foundations for all their future learning. It also enables families time to work and provide for their children and themselves, better securing their futures together. THANKYOU to all of our wonderful donors and volunteers who have made this possible. THANKYOU also to our charity partner Worldreader who develop and deliver outstanding literacy programs around the world. Together, we are making the future brighter for all.
