22.01.2022 Where and when did Palmistry come about? The origins of Palmistry are unknown but are thought to have first originated in India several thousand years ago. From there it moved into China and Asia and then onto Europe. However, in the Middle Ages the Christian Church claimed it was a pagan superstition and so it lost its popularity. Modern or Western Palmistry started to appear in the Renaissance period and gained further popularity in the 1800’s particularly due to a man named William John Warner (Cheerio) who had studied with the gurus in India. He read for many famous people in England and the USA. He also wrote several Palmistry books that are still in use today.

01.01.2022 TAROT HISTORY Tarot goes back thousands of years but it's origins are obscure. One theory is they originated from Egypt and another is they are derived from the "Chinese Stick System" still used in temples today. Tarot cards first appeared in Italy in the 1300's (Tarocchi) but were then banned by the Roman Church. However, as with all Universal Truths they survived. Today's most common deck (Rider-Waite) was designed in 1888 by Arthur Edward Waite and illustrated by Pamela ...Coleman-Smith. Our playing cards come from the Tarot Cards. Clubs (Wands), Hearts (Cups), Spades (Swords) and Diamonds (Pentacles). The Fool still lives on as the Joker
