24.01.2022 Finding what grounds you, the intangibles that give you a secure base from which to live, comes from being clear about your core values. When you define what is deeply important to you and non- negotiable, you have a compass to guide your interactions, your decisions, your motivations and your choices. In an era of mass bombardment through social media, 24 hour news and constant advertising, knowing your values allows you to sift out what is real and what matters to you from... all the distractions. It gives you the stability to be the best version of yourself and the flexibility to respond to what resonates so there is less buffeting by too many opinions and a plethora of choice. If you feel blown about and unsure of the way forward, I can help you identify and clarify what means the most to you so you can take the next steps with greater confidence. www.janedeere.com.au

13.01.2022 Living with loss takes a particular kind of courage. It requires the fortitude to put one foot in front of the other.....every day. It can feel very lonely and the way forward can, at times, seem impossible. While everybody’s reality is uniquely their own, in time, carrying that loss can feel less weighty, the rawness of it, softer. It can change its shape and texture to allow space for other things. No one can walk this path for another but compassionate support along the ...way can be the catalyst for moving towards regaining a sense of joy, meaning and purpose. I would love to be part of that support. www.janedeere.com.au Email : [email protected] #janedeerecoaching #transitioncoach #janedeeretransitioncoach #lifecoaching #coaching #transitions #change #narrativecoaching #narratives #stories #storieswetellourselves #changeyourlife #mindfulness #health #positivementalhealth #positivepsychology #wellbeing #wellness #positivity #values #valuesdrivenlife #meaning&purpose #walkingandtalking #hiking #slow #loss

10.01.2022 In these times of significant restrictions, travel and otherwise, I’ve found solace in revisiting photos from past holidays. I love this one for its symmetry, colour and simple beauty. Photography can help you to really look at things, to find new perspectives and to draw you closer to your subject matter. Immersing yourself in beauty elevates the spirit and takes you beyond the mundane to notice what is present, rather than just what is absent. Whatever you love and whatever inspires you, be intentional and accept the invitation seek it out.

09.01.2022 Persistent or chronic pain can sabotage the way you want to live. Stories and beliefs around pain can be very powerful and help perpetuate this distressing state. Confidence can take a battering and loss of capacity can make life feel significantly diminished. Addressing this kind of pain takes a multi-pronged approach with the support of health and mental health professionals. As a former physiotherapist, I have worked with many clients living with chronic pain and understa...nd the complexities that this state engenders. Now, as a Narrative Coach Certified Practitioner, I am committed to working with clients to challenge old stories around pain and explore new, life expanding narratives that give meaning and hope for a way forward. If you want a different conversation around pain, please contact me at [email protected] or visit my website : janedeere.com.au for more information. #janedeerecoaching #transitioncoach #janedeeretransitioncoach #lifecoaching #coaching #transitions #change #narrativecoaching #narratives #stories #storieswetellourselves #changeyourlife #mindfulness #health #positivementalhealth #positivepsychology #wellbeing #wellness #positivity #values #valuesdrivenlife #meaning&purpose #chronicpain #managingchronicpain #persistentpain

04.01.2022 For some, time alone can feel as necessary as breathing. It can feel challenging but doable. It can feel like a forlorn hope in the busyness of everyday life. And for others it can feel like abandonment. Being alone, if we can hold our nerve, offers the opportunity to start to know ourselves, to hear what it is we most value and how we want to be, to revel in our achievements, however small, and to befriend the parts of ourselves we’d rather relegate to the dark place under ...the stairs, hidden from view. The word solitude, perhaps, creates a gentler, more chosen sense of being alone. A state where things are heard more clearly away from the clamour and noisy distractions. Where, if we can ride the tumultuous wave of coming face to face with our own humanness, we can find ourselves on a different shore ready to explore a new, enriched relationship with ourselves which becomes, in turn, a gift to others.

03.01.2022 Integrity speaks of wholeness and truth. But how do we find our inner compass to steer by? In my first blog I explore how defining our top values, and staying true to them, guides us to our most authentic life.
