08.01.2022 Vogue US share a personal interview with Dr. Jane Goodall from her attic in Bournemouth, England. Enjoy a conversation that talks about home, family, personal practices, going back to Gombe and how 'virtual Jane' is three times busier than ever. "When you make a purchase, you ask yourself: Did this product and its manufacture harm the environment? Is it cheap because of child slave labor or inequitable wages paid to the people who produced it? Did it harm animals, like the terrible factory farms? And of course plant-based diets are very, very important. Plants are really coming into their own as our great saviors, like the forest that absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere."

06.01.2022 Rich, magical, the lungs of the earth: Celebrate #WorldForestDay, as Dr. Jane shares the importance of forests - on her own life and the future of our entire planet. And also how we can protect, preserve, and restore forests globally for animals, people and environment. "Any chance you have to be out in the forest, please try to see what it will do for you." More on how YOU can give back to forests here in Australia coming very soon....... #TogetherWeCanTogetherWeWill

06.01.2022 This week, sixty years ago, Dr. Jane Goodall made her groundbreaking observations of tool-use by wild chimpanzees - which transformed science, both in knowledge and practice. To honour #Gombe60, Jane reads her book that captured this pivotal research - In the Shadow of Man’s Chapter 3. Described as 'one of the Western world's great scientific achievements', in the book, Dr. Goodall writes about her findings, the first widely documented formal observation of its kind of tool-...use by a non-human animal. The formal observation challenged the definition which separated humans from other animals formerly human the tool-maker. With her academic research, in addition to her storytelling in film and books on the subject which challenged scientific knowledge of the time, Jane helped influence a better understanding of our relationship to the rest of the animal kingdom worldwide. Travel to Gombe with Jane via more special readings of In the Shadow of Man chapters at janereads.janegoodall.org.

06.01.2022 Wildlife populations are disappearing by an average of 62% in areas where species are traded - legally and illegally - pushing many closer to extinction, says a new report from the UK. The pet industry, bushmeat (wildlife traded for food consumption), traditional medicine, ivory and lab use are the biggest drivers of wildlife trafficking says the study: All of these diverse forms of trade are suppressing wildlife abundance really dramatically."

01.01.2022 Democracy is the foundation of our ability to live harmoniously with each other and the natural world. "Thanks to unprecedented grassroots organizing, hundreds of thousands of volunteers and the recognition on the part of so many that individuals can make a difference, in the midst of a pandemic more than 150 million people have voted in the 2020 US General Election, the largest level of participation ever. "Congratulations America. ... - Dr Jane Goodall, DBE, UN Messenger of Peace, Founder the Jane Goodall Institute
