24.01.2022 Reprieve on these hot summer days absolute bliss.
22.01.2022 Today I hiked a new mountain which is always fun. Mt Cooroora. Epic views at the top, oxygenated lungs to boot & plenty of giggles in the last 24hrs to last me a good while. Well, a day at least. Laughter needs to be up there with the daily prescription of sunshine, good water & movement. If you aren’t laughing enough there is a good old supplement I can support you with that has all the pre cursors for seratonin (your happy juice) with no fillers & binders - super essential when choosing supplements! #laughter #naturopathicprinciples #traditionalnaturopathy #happyhormone #hiking #freshair #naturopath #sunshinecoast #cleansupplements #bioconcepts
22.01.2022 Ocean dips at sunrise this morning before heading up to sweet little Montville for my final Wellness Workshop - Herbs for Healthy Digestion & seeing clients. Blue skies to boot after a wintery morning I have 2 consult spots left today, if you would like support with your health & wellness. @ The Wellness Haven
22.01.2022 What to do with an abundance of $2 raspberries from the market?? Apart from just savouring these immunity bombs by themselves, I whipped up a quinoa porridge (using the seed, not flakes) with a big bed of raspberries, vanilla coconut yogurt, freshly ground flax seeds & chia seeds (both stored in the freezer for about a week or so if needed saves the ground seeds from oxidising) & a dash of maple syrup. Stir & eat amongst the trees in the morning light for optimum enjoyment #gf #df #plantbased #omega3s #campkitchen #MSR #tinyhomeliving #naturopath #nutritionist
21.01.2022 As I continue to unpack & cull my belongings to fit into my tiny home I love the feeling of knowing that the build process had minimal chemicals involved. This means that I have a fresh canvas where I choose what I use in the space both in the home & on my body, etc. I got a new mattress a few years ago & did so much research in the process. I ended up getting a German brand high density foam mattress from a guy in Perth with removable cover which can be washed (fabulous for ...freshening the mattress). It doesn’t omit odours like some of the new mattress due to the intention behind the brand. Separate slats that can be adjusted to weight baring areas that differ between male & female. Anyway my point is that there is so much to learn & know about our homes AND we can take that info & be really intentional about our space so that it SUPPORTS our health. I am running a weekly workshop for 4 weeks starting January 17th with @katethenaturopath where we chat all things home furnishings (mattress, carpets, paint, etc) plus clothing, beauty, cleaning & food storage. These often hidden, subtle nasties affect our sleep, our hormones, our skin, our mood & more! Kate & I would love to have you join us! Wednesday nights for 4 weeks via Zoom. There is an excellent bonus for purchasing a seat at all 4 talks which will make it so benefical for you to integrate this information into your home & lifestyle. It is one thing to know & it is another to take action on what you know Hit us up for your seat! See more
21.01.2022 Just over 2 weeks ago I moved my tiny home to my girlfriend’s beautiful 28acre property. I’ve been busy painting it when I find time since using low VOC paints (I take my hat off to all painters!). Alongside confirming tank delivery & all the final date collision of deck installation, compost toilet, etc... I am nearing the end of this 16month journey, hoping to be living in it in under 2 weeks! This creative project has been an incredible process learning so many new thin...gs along the way - birthing a very intentional space. Seedling is its name. It has weathered 2 epic storms & it has only been on site for 2 weeks It is from this space that I will be collaborating to host a 4 part series on chemical free living. Each week a different topic - food storage, beauty & body products, quality sleep & bedding, as well as cleaning products. By purchasing all 4 you receive a bonus of 30mins with both facilitating Naturopaths to help guide you to integrate the information into your home & lifestyle. So excited to be offering more education around chem free, clean living & intentional spaces. DM me for details See more
20.01.2022 The day started with rain at the markets but then progressed to a damp hike, followed by a sunny ocean swim & sandy beach chats & it’s only lunchtime. Perfect combo I say #getoutside #movement #connection #naturefix #naturopathicmedicine
17.01.2022 Hi Seeds Of Healthers... I’m going to be jumping solely over to Instagram from now on... come follow me there to view the upcoming fasting retreat (now 2 spots available if you’d like a last minute booking message me - we’ve got an epic group attending! Can’t wait ), tiny home progress & all kinds of skin & health alchemy... the beauty of peeling back the layers & really getting under the skin
17.01.2022 My sweet little tea stash When working online with clients this beautiful little tea selection is in reach. Herbs in tea or tincture form get me excited because not only on cold mornings do you get to sip on something warm, you also get added benefits of healing, cleansing, nourishing, regenerating synergistic magic At the moment I have some powdered herbs that I love to add to hot drinks like cacao or coffee that nourish my iron levels & remineralise my body. I also have... plenty of loose leaf teas like poke root, plantain, Liver Lover, Dandelion leaf (the leaf is beautiful for the kidneys, whereas the root is fabulous for the liver), nettle, lemon myrtle, macha, the most amazing organic chamomile flowers that I fall in love with every single time I have another cup, the list goes on. I like tea. I also like sharing it. I think tea is best shared with good conversation. What is your favourite tea at present? If you need herbal support, simply message me & I can assess if you need a simple support or perhaps a full consultation assessment based on what you are presenting with. #herbalmedicine #herblover #naturopath #plantwisdom #tinctures #teas See more
16.01.2022 I spent most of this past weekend in Toowoomba visiting an old friend & relishing in blue skies & crisp air. We hit the farmers market, wove our way through lots of gum trees on a couple of walks & enjoyed the delights of a fabulous local cafe @james_street_grocer on Sunday morning. We sat outside soaking up the Winter sun enjoying one of their incredible savoury french tarts (asparagus, corn & gruyere cheese). Their gluten free coconut macaroons are also delicious But what... I did observe is my skin changes hitting the cooler dryer weather. I couldn’t get enough hydration into my body - both internally & externally. I grabbed a 5L spring water stash once I arrived & guzzled it down enthusiastically over the 24hrs & lathered myself in delightful @wildnatureaustralia body moisturiser. Fortunately I’m on tank water where I live, so immediately noticed how standard water with all it’s chlorine, etc dries the skin! If you are navigating the challenges of winter with tricky skin challenges reach out for help! I’ve got some great water & shower filters on my online shop plus loads of knowledge & support around chemical free beauty products that don’t end up as liver loaders & a whole lot of gut support to nourish your skin #skintips #winterskin #waterfilters #showerfilters #chemicalfree #guthealth #naturopath #herbalist #dryskin #hydration #lowtox #liverlovers See more
15.01.2022 Snacks. They can be so easy - like a whole bag of home grown snowpeas (amuse your dog with random peas). Our body is looking for nutrients, that’s if we are genuinely hungry & arent thirsty or emotionally eating. Perhaps mix it up next time & choose something colourful with loads of water content like red capsicum with beetroot dip, or celery smeared with nut butter or some soaked almonds, a boiled ‘happy’ egg, a good old crispy apple or perhaps a serving of delicious veggie soup. This way you avoid bread, crackers & all the stodgy ingredients. #snacks #wholefoods #nutritionist #naturopath #workshops #sunshinecoast
15.01.2022 This morning I had a later start which feels great for some breathing space amongst the fullness of work life & building a tiny home. I did my usual & escaped to nature but had a little extra time to pause, meditate & just be on a rock with an epic view. Teak & I soaked it in. Fresh air, trees, sunrise, rock sitting, heart pumping hills & a good dose of gratitude Happy hump day. The joy of unscheduled time feels like a gift at the moment. #justbe #hiking #movment #autumnphase #cycleawareness #podcast #naturopath #herbalist #naturefix
12.01.2022 Rosemary. A full bush! I haven’t seen this as much as i’d like over thr years, as it wasn’t as common in FNQ. I remember seeing it in median strips in Geraldton in WA when I travelled round Oz & thought it was such a neat idea! Handy & pretty. I’ve popped into a winery this afternoon, after my day with clients in Montville, to investigate the dimenions of a wine barrell for a mini bath in my tiny home. I was greeted by an abundant bush of rosemary Rosemary is amazing for the second phase of detox & also fabulous for memory as it is rich in antioxidants. You can pop a sprig in your water bottle for a savoury flavour & memory remedy to boot. You just have to remember to do it

11.01.2022 I’ve missed connecting with you guys, my Seeds Of Health Facebook community. Over the last 9 years I have built up such different communities on Insta & Facebook... this being my original space. 2 months ago I decided to transition to Insta only because Facebook was feeling heavy for me & one of my aims was to simplify, but to be honest I miss the crew in this space. So I will continue to share on both platforms because I cherish those of you in both spaces & each platform appeals to a different crew. I hope to offer support, ideas, inspiration, chem free alternatives for happy hormones, wholefood inspo, tiny home chapters & what else? What would you like to see more of?! These flowers were bought to mark the occasion of the beginning of a new chapter in my tiny home, Seedling
11.01.2022 Such a fab sourdough workshop by @mardiskitchen yesterday in Maleny! My mum & I took a break from painting Seedling to improve our sourdough skills! I hadn’t done a class since 2009 when living in Perth & it has been quite a significant pause (3yrs) in loaves apart from a little exploration this year. This workshop came highly recommended by a friend & it was fabulous! Simple & oh so detailed with so many incredible flavours to enjoy. I loved refining this ancient skill of al...lowing gluten to be more easily digested through fermentation. The loaf I started yesterday is currently cooking in the oven (& smells incredible!) as I type this. As I’ve always said to my clients sourdough should only have 3 ingredients (flour, water, salt...& sourdough culture), anything else should be questioned. Mardi & her view on sourdough is the same. Fabulous See more
09.01.2022 Grounding. It is a sweet sweet thing. After so much movement over the last 12months I have come to appreciate the grounding essence of a home. A place to come back to, or go to, that allows me to cook, ponder, be with those that mean a lot to me, an uninterrupted work space, a clean energetic space. If you are like me & you are energetically sensitive to others or the scents & busyness that come with shared spaces you’ll know when you have found a sweet spot to call home. If ...you have been following me for a while you will remember my sweet spot in Cairns on a cane farm with 180 degree open views of Glacier rock & the most epic sunsets. Well, the next magical space is brewing near this tiny sweet abode Do you tend to feel at home anywhere? Or crave your own intentional patch? A place to unpack & feel at home in? I have always loved travel & still do, but the more aware I become of what makes me flourish, the more intentional I have become of what I create & let into my home life #lowtox #chemicalfree #grounding #energetics #community #wellbeing #sunshinecoast #naturopath #herbalist See more
08.01.2022 The cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussel sprouts, cabbage, bok choy, rocket, radish, etc) support the liver to detox. They are all rich in sulfur, fibre & chlorophyll which cleanse toxins out of the blood. One of my fav simple snacks is steaming a heap of broccoli & lightly drizzling it with olive oil & sea salt. This also helps to curb carb cravings if you find yourself reaching for bread, biscuits, potatoes, pasta, etc. Liver lovers - everyone can ...benefit from more of these guys! Perhaps you could create a winter warming salad with sauted brussel sprouts, cauli, broc, kale, etc...deliciously steamed & slightly crispy all in one with a handful of soaked almonds thrown in & some tamari. The perfect side dish, snack or light lunch (depending how much you devour)... P.S. These beautiful pics were captured in my mum’s garden on the weekend. 07.01.2022 I love the puzzle piece of health Sometimes random symptoms in your body don’t make sense to you when you’re in the thick of it, but from my perspective as an observer & believer that health is simple, it often makes complete sense (you may have seen me chatting about recent clients of mine on my Insta stories on Monday arvo). Our body is always communicating to us & often if we look at the truth & layers of a complex health crisis our body has some clear messages for us. B...ut we need to be willing to look at the truth. I love working through layers with clients & identifying missing links like gut health, hydration, liver health, stress, sleep, chemicals, etc. The key to better health though is putting this knowledge into ACTION. We can know a lot but if we aren’t taking action we end up still feeling lack lustre or chronically in pain. Accumulation of choices add up over time & all of a sudden our body & mind aren’t thriving. Send me a message if you are stumped about your symptoms or simply need some accountability for a health upgrade! Upgrades are one of my specialties See more
