18.01.2022 Happy Saturday everyone. What do you do when you don’t have an assistant to hold up a quilt for you - you peg it on the fence. This is the strip quilt I finished last week. Thought I would have a go at making one and am happy enough with the results. I hand quilted circles using various thicknesses of Perle cotton and then machine quilted every second row with stitch in the ditch. #quilting #stitchintheditch #handquilting #stripquilt #happyplace #lapquilt #handmade #handmadewithlove

13.01.2022 In my garden.. I have ordered a pretty pink hydrangea to plant in my new garden to honour the memory of strong women in my life. I have violets and freesias from my mum’s garden, and bottlebrush and frangipani from my aunties who have all influenced me in a positive way. Having just lost my mother I thought a fitting flower would be the hydrangea that used to grow in my grandmother’s garden.
