23.01.2022 I am very proud to be an ex-servicewoman, and I am proud of all of those who have served our country at home and abroad. This year, Remebrance Day will be one day after the Count for our Local Government Elections. Don't let the thrill of the campaign distract you from what is a very important Remembrance Day, as this year we mark 100 years since the Armistice that ended the First World War. We have a Remembrance Activity called Woven Memories this year where a memory of a lo...ved one or a thought about war or a poem, or saying have been woven into an art piece which will be on display at the Hallett Cove Memorial Service. In this video, from ANZAC Day this year, I talk about women, the importance of women in the defence force and their recognition. 07.01.2022 Good morning everyone. what a beautiful day, as I look out over the park and see the growth that has occurred over the last 4 years and am proud that we are planting more trees and plants around Marion, but we need to do so much more, the heat mapping done by Marion has shown we need to really push this for our community.
