Do you have a job that involve repetitive motions of the wrist and arm? If yes to any of the above questions, then you probably have tennis elbow(lateral epicondylitis) Janicki Chiropractic see many people with tennis elbow and we get great results.... Here are our 3 tips to help you prevent your elbow pain! 1. Ceasing or Reducing repetitive activities and resting the arm. This means any activities that cause elbow pain, STOP IT. Any activities that involves twisting or extending motions in repetitive work or activities; for examples, daily house chores: cleaning bathrooms, preparing meals, or washing dishes. Ask for help from others. 2. When resting is not possible, use straps, or braces to support or changing arm position can help to ease elbow pain. For example, when lifting try keep your palms facing upward and elbows bent when lifting. If you grasp objects with your palms downward, you increase the stress on the outside of elbow which cause more pain. 3. Using an ice pack on the arm to help reduce inflammation.
