25.01.2022 Who's up for a little Halloween stitching? This little biscornu has been lurking around my files for years now, and I decided it was time for it to pop out of hiding and surface as a free pattern for you all to enjoy. Head over to the Notes section to download the pattern. https://www.facebook.com/notes/janie-hubble-designs/complimentary-patterns/1673205599397551/

24.01.2022 And the winner is (insert drum roll here) Wendy Lee Picciano Wendy, you have won the pattern and kit (once it's ready to go) for my new design based around/on/inspired by the word pantoufle. xxx I am putting your name in my file so I have you ready to contact when the pattern is released!

24.01.2022 Thank you all for your enthusiasm, generosity of heart and general all round awesomeness this year! You truly are a gorgeous group and I love you all dearly. I do hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and manage to find a little quiet time to stitch during all the madness that is the festive season.

23.01.2022 Soooo close to releasing Emma and Jane - The Austen Chair. The pattern has been written, and has been test stitched. The construction phase is being tested as I type. All the raw construction videos are done ... putting them all together over the weekend. NOT LONG NOW! Susan Scissors, Jane Austen Thread Keep and Heart Buckle from Kelmscott Designs

22.01.2022 So the results of the survey are starting to indicate that most of you prefer kits over just patterns and you also like downloadable patterns in preference to printed ones. In light of this info I will be putting together another batch of Sirens of the Sea kits ASAP. I will also keep in mind that new patterns should be offered as downloadable files in future!... Thank you to all who have taken the time to answer the survey xxx

21.01.2022 Oh my goodness! I have no idea why, but I have just discovered that I haven't been getting messages from this page in forever! So, my apologies to you all if you have sent me a message recently! So, let me catch you all up on my news and plans ... Frank (DH) and I are in the process of selling our house in the hills and we plan to move 'down south' to Bridgetown in the south west of Western Australia in the new year. ... At this stage we are not quite sure if we will take some of our day job business clients with us, but I'm planning on making Janie Hubble Designs much more of a priority once we have moved and I have more time to dedicate to it. I am trying to complete the editing of the videos I created earlier in the year for Emma and Jane, The Austen Chair which I hope to complete over the next couple of weeks. Once again, I am so sorry if you have messaged me on this page and I appear to have ignored you. I really didn't mean to - and I will be following up with you directly. hugs Janie xx

20.01.2022 So ... for those who are into all things Jane Austen ... here is Storiarts 'Emma' offerings. The perfect foil for my Emma and Jane chair yes?

20.01.2022 Lovelies - I've decided to spring clean and revamp my website, so it will be unavailable for the next couple of weeks. Got a couple of ideas I want to try out hence the revamp. Meanwhile, my spruced up Etsy page is looking good so you could play there if you want too ;-) Just click on the Shop Now Button ...

19.01.2022 Such news! Can't wait

17.01.2022 Such a great flow chart. MAKE ART PEOPLE! (and by art I obviously mean STITCH, STITCH, STITCH) :-) (Shared from Sara Leigh Merrey)

17.01.2022 Want a little peak at progress on Emma and Jane?

17.01.2022 I've just put more Sirens of the Sea kits into my Etsy shop :-) https://www.etsy.com//sirens-of-the-sea-kit-drum-pin-cushi

17.01.2022 Well, I've done it! I've FINALLY managed to get all my ducks in a row and have finished the editing of all 15 videos in the Construction Series for Emma and Jane! To celebrate I am taking 20% off the price of the Construction Series AND the pattern kit (just in case you haven't bought yours yet). Sale is on now and runs until 24th December! So, if you want to buy yourself a present, head over to my Etsy store! Here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/JanieHubbleDesigns

16.01.2022 I was Konmari-ing (is that a word?) my workroom on the weekend and discovered a secret stash of Kelmscott Designs Putford and Seaton scissors! So, obviously I took it as a sign to revive my lovely little Ozzie the Owl - the ORIGINAL Owl Scissor Keep and Needleminder pattern. I've popped him into my Etsy shop here: https://www.etsy.com//what-a-hoot-scissor-keep-needleminde

15.01.2022 I'm about to put Emma and Jane together and am wondering if anyone would be interested in an online video course for the construction process? It would cost AUD50 on top of the pattern booklet and template cost of AUD28 plus postage. Let me know folks

14.01.2022 EDITED: The Winner of the not yet designed, but under way, pattern is Wendy Lee Picciano - see announcement above pantoufle I see a new design in my future! Do you know what this word means in French? I will randomly select a correct answer tomorrow and the winner will win the design and kit associated with it once it is designed and published. And go ...

13.01.2022 Look at this! Rosella has the most wonderful collection of chairs all set up ... I love this picture so much You make my heart sing Rosella!

13.01.2022 She's here! Introducing 'Emma & Jane - The Austen Chair'

10.01.2022 Now, there are some of you who are going to fall off your chairs when you read this LOL! But seriously, how long has it taken me to get this little pattern into my Etsy shop? A VERY LONG TIME, yes I know! But it's there now ... https://www.etsy.com//la-roseraie-lounge-suite-series-5-cr

09.01.2022 I'm just going to leave this here ... :-)

05.01.2022 A little bit of cross-pollination advertising :-) I have just put up a set of 'how-to' videos to accompany a free downloadable pattern for my ornament boxes over in my box making group. I know some of you are already in that group, but I thought I would mention it just in case anyone else here is interested in making boxes from scratch. That little window lid is the perfect place to show off a little bit of stitching in my opinion!... It's a closed group so you'll need to knock on the door and I'll let you in ;-) https://www.facebook.com/groups/1450550768390843/

05.01.2022 I'm allowed to spam my own page right?

05.01.2022 We had the very best time on Saturday at the Box Making Workshop! I am so proud of my talented students: Margaret, Denise, Ros and Lisa. They all worked like beavers and went home with finished boxes YAY! Here they are for you to oooh and ahhh over ... And for those of you who are patiently waiting for me to get my act together ... I have kits ready, I have worked out the postage and am working away at getting all the information up on my Etsy page. Will post the details here tomorrow xxx

05.01.2022 So ... I know I've been a bit quiet (as in totally not around) for a bit here. I'm so sorry - I've been playing over in my Fabric Covered Boxes group. There aren't enough hours in the day (and night)! I have come to the conclusion I need to make Janie Hubble Designs my full time job, and my day job needs to be my part-time hustle. Do you think this is going to get the thumbs up from my DH? Yeah ... I'm not sure it will either

04.01.2022 For those Jane Austen fans ... All I can say is, it was soooo much easier now to add amendments to my pattern booklet Emma & Jane using the computer LOL

02.01.2022 Love this! Might have to start a trend here in my little part of the world ...

01.01.2022 Sing along, and if you can't sing, hum along LOL!
