25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads xx

23.01.2022 Remembering this wonderful Rotto holiday, where life is relaxing as soon as you hop off the ferry. Looking forward to this time again, with such simple freedom. #memoriesofrotto

22.01.2022 Do you replay magical moments in your mind of daily life? Or is it just me? Some little memory-moments are like undiluted brilliance defining those you love. This is a little bit of love for our son. Watching him being so happy, in his own daydream and character here is something worth trying to emulate on film. Although nothing beats ones minds eye, capturing our lives in these little mini-movies feels as elusive as bottling dreams, but it fills me with joy, and in the future may give an little flicker of now.

21.01.2022 What frivolous activity have you been up to this week? Have there been some simple pleasures? I hope so! .#1minaweek #52project #familyfilms #perthfamilyfilms #familydocumentaryphotography #perthfamilyphotographer #perthvideographer #filminglifeacademy #thebloomforum #thefamilynarrative #thesincerestoryteller #thedocumentarymovement #thelittlethingstheory #thefamilynarrativeaustralia #perthfilms

19.01.2022 So many beautiful blossoming pregnant bellies around at the moment

19.01.2022 Seeing our son conquer the monkey bars is a big milestone and will be a big memory of his childhood. It’s meant so much to him, and his confidence. It was an absolute pleasure to make this micro-documentary for Funky Monkey Bars 10 Years Strong campaign. They are a top fun and talented bunch, executing a fine product set to be an Aussie Icon. Like Co-Director Colin Burdle says, It is as good as it looks!

18.01.2022 Songs for Freedom is happening this Saturday evening at Djoondalup, Point Walter Reserve. An evening of music by the river celebrating music & country. The line up is sensational! The films commissioned for the Happiness Project will be screening there too which is an absolute delight!

18.01.2022 Honour your family with a micro-documentary about you. Something to cherish for the future. 2020 Bookings are now open for a Family Film & Photo Packages.

18.01.2022 I’m making time to document some of the special times in my own family. Windsurfing is a big part of our life as Dad loves sailing, it’s his flow time, his downtime, his ultimate passion. I’m currently editing a video of a recent session at Trigg beach with the kids in tow thanks to @susannahott and here is a couple of photos from the day.

18.01.2022 Does having kids feel like the hardest thing you’ve done? Well, it sure does to me. These videos are the little warm moments I want to remember. Right now we are chased by a power-commando-crawler who now says Mum...next week will be different. . 1minute video each week to remember how much I love them, and to show them that too. . . . .... . .#1minaweek #52project #familyfilms #perthfamilyfilms #familydocumentaryphotography #perthfamilyphotographer #perthvideographer #filminglifeacademy #thebloomforum #thefamilynarrative #thesincerestoryteller #thedocumentarymovement #thelittlethingstheory #thefamilynarrativeaustralia #perthfilms See more

18.01.2022 Yes! The sun is shining, it’s warm and there is a collective jump for joy!

18.01.2022 A sneak peak into what a Family Film could capture for your family.

15.01.2022 This is the passion that ignites my husband, Steve. riding waves on wild windy oceans. Something I’ll get him to talk about in his own words. He makes it look easy, like he’s dancing in the water out there. For the rest of us is like swimming with a big sheet tied into some heavy scaffolding and sinking you down. It’s hard! A Family Film isn’t limited to your home or pretty parks, it can follow what makes you tick as a family. Windsurfing has taken us to many wild and windswept places. How lucky we are that Steve is so wholeheartedly driven to ride waves. This is the first intro minute....more to come.

13.01.2022 This is part of a series of marketing images from a lifestyle photo shoot at L’Atelier for Children in Scarborough WA. It’s a beautiful preschool with a Reggio Emilia approach. It has a firm family feel and there are lots of sweet kids interacting with loads of play based fun. As each parent dropped of their kids we did a quick portrait of parent & child together that was pretty special as those photos rarely get taken, so there was hugs, squeezes and goodbyes. These two boys are good mates waving and supporting his friend saying bye to Mum. Check it the L’Atelier for Children if you’d like to see the range of photos the selected for their website.

13.01.2022 Sometimes seeing someone else’s objective vision on your life can be eye opening and refreshing. Often people can she away from the idea of a family photo or film shoot. What’s so special about me to do that? But it’s the bigger picture, and really is more about the legacy to your children. They will want to see how they were as little people, but more over of YOU were with them. It boosts their confidence to see photos of themselves surrounded by those that love them. So, get in touch if you’ve ever wanted to get some memories of now documented for the future.

12.01.2022 Every day there is a little bit of magic if you train your eyes for it. Surrounding us in Perth are a multitude of large parks. Lovingly looked after and curated for our enjoyment. In a few hours of picnicing or exploring you can find hidden Quendas, turtles, morse code, nesting Black Cockatoos, award-winning nature play spaces, ancient cliffs and trees, rare orchids and so much more! It’s a world of delights. I’ve put together some magical and experiential highlights for the City of Melville in a series called ‘The Happiness Project’. Here’s a little preview from Wireless Hill.

11.01.2022 And a big Happy Father’s Day to all the Grandfathers who keep giving that beautiful love and connection to the grandkids

10.01.2022 Enjoy the freedom we have here in Western Australia on this long weekend! Travel safe and I hope you get to spend it with some lovely people

08.01.2022 The last commercial job for I did for the City of Melville before things shut down- check out this 60sec video Hopefully you’re discovering some new play spaces in you’re own backyard, but this one is pretty special - Deep Water Point Reserve. Made by a talented team of landscape architects and artists, set right on the Swan River. It’s a beautiful space to be in. https://youtu.be/c_A6unMXpQM

07.01.2022 Forgotten what makes you happy? Need to fill your cup up? Well hang out in a kindy/pre primary class for a few hours and watch how to live life! Everything is so exciting when your little. I absolutely love the Lifestyle Photography shoots in the lower schools, a joy

06.01.2022 This was filmed before Covid19 changed our way of life, when my baby would still wear a hat, and prior to doing my own haircut. It’s a reminder of how nothing is permanent, everything is very certainly changing before our eyes. Little people give us lots of clarity on that. So happy to have some of this footage of them

06.01.2022 Indoor Camping- A little bit of happy eye candy to wake up to. Hope it makes you smile

06.01.2022 Looking for a special way to honour your family in 2020? Consider a micro-documentary about your family. There are so many special relationships worth remembering...grandkids with grandparents, siblings playing together, your children as babies and toddlers. This time is fleeting and worth having a little snapshot of time captured on film. Bookings open now for 2020. . .#1minaweek #52project #familyfilms #perthfamilyfilms #familydocumentaryphotography #perthfamilyphotographer #perthvideographer #filminglifeacademy #thebloomforum #thefamilynarrative #thesincerestoryteller #thedocumentarymovement #thelittlethingstheory #thefamilynarrativeaustralia #perthfilms

06.01.2022 One huge upside to these times is appreciating family connectedness. Realigning those people most precious to us. Grandparents have been missed, and they have missed us. Always include grandparents in your family film and video moments, it's so precious.

05.01.2022 I’m mid way into editing this #familyfilm and soaking up the special bonds and dynamics that are unique to each and every family. When editing you fall in love with all the little moments, so it’s a process of distilling the heart flutters. Here’s 10seconds of heart flutters. Thank you @katehanman I love watching you all grow xx

04.01.2022 A pelican checking out a toddler from a safe distance. Can’t wait to start planning out a family holiday when things are more normal #memoriesofrotto

03.01.2022 Schools back. Sad face as holidays were such fun, full of beach combing, swims, caravanning and time with family and friends

02.01.2022 Do you keep a personal photo album in your head of images of life? Or photographs you wished you had taken, but didn’t? I have my own personal shotlist in my head. In the previous house I lived there was an elderly neighbour with a wild and thick native garden. It looked like a bit of wild bushland. There was a string of Bottlebrush trees that would in spring have the effect of dripping with red flowers. The rare times I saw her, she’d be reversing her car, in the most terrif...ying fashion, right down the row of bottlebrush trees. It was eye watering to watch. The bottlebrush were draping and elegant, stunning. I planned to photograph it, but never got to it. When she passed away most of her dense and abundant forest was bulldozed, and it seemed such a shame. I have those trees in my personal shoulder. So, at noon, whilst the baby slept, I took some snaps in our garden of all the bottlebrush in bloom. Not the same, but I finally had a close look at them. Thanks for the inspiration Mary, I will remember your fabulous garden always. See more

01.01.2022 We are early risers and the mornings have beautiful light, plus my brain is awake. Albert will be moving into his room soon so I wanted to document this time while he is still in with us. The chair, the view from where I breastfeed him, and the many hours spent settling are all memories stored in my brain. This little video will just help trigger them. . 1minute video each week to remember how much I love them, and to show them that too. .... . . . . .#1minaweek #52project #familyfilms #perthfamilyfilms #familydocumentaryphotography #perthfamilyphotographer #perthvideographer #filminglifeacademy #thebloomforum #thefamilynarrative #thesincerestoryteller #thedocumentarymovement #thelittlethingstheory #thefamilynarrativeaustralia #perthfilms See more

01.01.2022 The first preview in a wonderful series of videos to be able to work on - celebrating some very special places to get out and visit around Perth. Made with the talented folks at City of Melville. These beautiful parks lands and nature areas are cleverly thought out by landscape architects, environmental officers, artists and community groups for all to enjoy. Spring has sprung!
