23.01.2022 As we enter a New Year I'm reflecting on the major themes of 2020 for us. As it started with smoke masks and bush fires, I felt this image of a clever piece of street art from Braidwood summed up the year for me... Christ in a gas mask. Then 2020 just continued to smash us with adversity... Supercell hail storms, record breaking flood waters & then good old Covid19 which also featured masks in an interesting and necessary way. But we are still standing after all of these trials, albeit a little bent and worn but still on two feet. Unfortunately some family and friends are not here to see how 2021 will unfold, so when you raise your glass to hopefully a brighter future remember those left behind.

22.01.2022 While on my Arts Study Tour in Italy, I received fabulous news that I'd been awarded a Veolia Mulwaree Trust Scholarship in support of that venture. My main study focus this year was to advance my skills in paper marbling through attending workshops and studios of the masters in this craft. Florence and Venice are the key centres for maintaining this ancient skill, during my time there I visited approximately 8 workshops and spoke with the artisans about technique and information exchanges. As part of this education study over the next 12 months, I will be demonstrationing and talking about the unique craft of marbling. Thank you Veolia for believing my creative pursuits worthy of your financial support.

15.01.2022 We are fortunate that our isolation comes with a homegrown view and a kilometre barrier on all sides, we have had so much rain since the end of the bushfires that I could have included a moat stay safe everyone and keep your hands to yourself

14.01.2022 I am thrilled to announce my appointment as the new Team Leader for Culture, Arts and Museums at the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council. After nearly 10 years as an Arts Educator at the National Gallery of Australia and 3 years as a sessional lecturer for the Australian Catholic University, it was time for a change and to put my skills to good use full-time for my community. As many of you know I have been heavily involved in the establishment and management of the Braidwoo...d Community Arts Centre which is owned and operated on a volunteer basis by the Braidwood Regional Arts Group Inc. This new role will leave me little time for my own artmaking practice and even less for volunteer work but I have stayed committed to the coordination of the bragSTUDIOmarket and community arts as an integral and engaging part of any town or cities culture. If you would like to contact me about arts and cultural programs in the QPRC-LGA please do so in the first instance via email [email protected] See more

13.01.2022 This was at the opening of my Solo exhibition 'Nature's Patterns' 3 years ago today...it feels like a decade with all that has happened since then. I'm with the lovely Leslie Waterhouse who is a Wombat Saint, here caring for her charges 24/7. With all the focus on the Corona thingie people may have forgotten the bushfires and the devastation that it caused our environment and it's inhabitants. They still need your help, please consider a donation to Major's Creek Wombat Refuge. #majorscreekwombatrefuge
