20.01.2022 We are so grateful to Uncle Johnny and Lyle for sharing their culture and knowledge with us through music, dance and art as we continue to celebrate the oldest continuous culture on earth. Happy NAIDOC week

18.01.2022 Celebrating book week next week will be lots of fun and if you are looking for that perfect book, I would highly recommend visiting Bloomin Books in Caringbah for a great read. Big W and Kmart also have some great finds too. http://www.bloominbooks.com.au/

14.01.2022 The Moon Class children have shown an interest in learning how to play the keyboard. Over the past few weeks, our clever little maestros have been performing a variety of songs for their friends, learning to read music with the aide of colour coded music sheets. To extend their interest in this area we were treated with a garden violin performance by our very own Helen! Some children galloped to the fast tempo whilst some relaxed to the slow, soft sound of the strings. Thanks Helen for your exciting and outstanding performance!

11.01.2022 A big thank you to Eleni Petinos MP and Amy Hill from Dewrang Art -Aboriginal Artist for joining us on this special occasion, the opening of our beautiful yarning circle. We appreciate your continuing support for community preschool education.

08.01.2022 Happy NAIDOC week!! Thank you to Neika for sharing a story about many of Australia’s deadly Aboriginal people. Some children noticed similarities between themself or family members and those in the book. The children also explored their knowledge and understanding of Dharawal land through pretend play and then challenged themselves by recreating some of the animals they had found with playdoh.

06.01.2022 We have had a local grasshopper hopping around preschool recently that gave inspiration to our outdoor obstacle course that fosters children's balance, coordination and gross motor ability. The children were so excited to find the hidden pictures of the insects as they made their way around the course, crawling along the grasshopper tunnel and navigating the trails. At the end the children threw their beanbags into the hoop as they jumped off the trestle onto the crash mat where two grasshoppers egged the children on in encouragement. The Stars and Moons did several laps with some even pretending to be grasshoppers themselves!

06.01.2022 Happy NAIDOC week to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and friends. This week we have been celebrating and sharing the culture of First Nations Peoples.

05.01.2022 Another yummy bunch of bananas for the children and educators to enjoy
