25.01.2022 I knew at this very moment that I took this photo that it would be a black and white image. This moment was everything. The love they shared was like no other. He was here and he was perfect.

25.01.2022 The most beautiful morning spent with this family. I’m pretty keen for them to have more babies, first birthdays and invite me to photograph them! Look, no pressure @emikotsunoda Sometimes it’s hard to know what your little bubba will do on the day of the photoshoot and that’s okay! Sleeping? Ok. Awake? Ok. Needs lots of cuddles? Ok. We can make anything work! That’s the wonderful thing about lifestyle photography. This little one slept for a bit and then opened her eyes for a few snaps too.

11.01.2022 I was driving to work last week when I heard on the news that a little baby was born on the side of the road on the way to hospital (and Dad delivered him). Little did I know at the time that it was my client! Full respect for this beautiful and humble family. What a story to share for many years to come!

10.01.2022 That’s a wrap for 2020. My family won’t be doing a late night. I’m a huge believer in starting the first day of the year doing something positive. We often spend it at the beach as a family (then spend the next 72 hours finding sand everywhere). Thank you for the ongoing support. Thank you for recommending me. Thank you for trusting me to capture your memories. Who knows what 2021 will bring. Yeah 2020 was rough but on reflection it had some positives. I spent so much time with my family. I managed to pull through tough times with my business and it’s come out stronger! I built some incredible relationships with peers and local businesses. For that, grateful. Insert corny joke here....see you next year

10.01.2022 The best thing about borrowing a dress from my client closet? Zero stress. That’s my job. I clean it, press it and bring it with me for you to wear. This hazel and folk dress is a one size fits all and believe me....it’s stunning! It even twirls. Well it doesn’t but If you do a twirl it’ll look amazing when you do it?

08.01.2022 Are extended family photoshoots chaotic? You bet. Do I leave exhausted? God yes. Do I love them? Absolutely I do. My extended family photoshoot from yesterday. I’m often asked if I find it hard to get everyone to look at the camera. I do. It’s not easy. Still, do they need to stare at my camera? Can’t they just have fun in their own element? I mean, Sophia (on dads shoulders) definitely got the memo. A lot of my followers, clients will definitely spot a couple of our favourite people in this photo. @keely_gerbanas @its_phoebeclare I love photographing your family and being a part of your journey.

07.01.2022 Merry Christmas. What a year hey? Equal parts stressful and wonderful. It was unsettling at times but gosh did we get through it as a community. Anyway, here’s to a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends and to an amazing venture in 2021. It’ll be great.

06.01.2022 This was right after I asked them to look at each other (super close). Rarely do couples not laugh at themselves afterwards. It’s the laugh that I actually want to capture. Because, this!

05.01.2022 I’ve had a few clients reach out to me to move their wedding, cancel their wedding and make changes. They’re so apologetic and disappointed and worried. It’s perfectly okay. I understand. It’s a strange time. Im sorry you’re going through this. I wanted to capture your special moments too. We will...just a little bit later on and it will still be amazing.

04.01.2022 I know I’ve said it many times before but it’s true. Toddlers do not sit still for photoshoots and that’s a-ok! I 100% get it. I have two children and I can assure you that they do not sit still for me either. The poor parents often apologise throughout the photoshoot because their little one won’t sit still and do you know what I tell them? ‘It’s okay, I don’t expect them to sit still. So we do 1, 2, 3 wee, see how high they can be thrown in the air, chase, boo and anything else that the toddler enjoys with the family. Does it work? You bet it does. Do I leave feeling exhausted? So much. Do I love it? Yep. Do the photos turn out well? Oh yes. Here’s proof. You can’t not smile at that happiness.

02.01.2022 Okay Monday, let’s do this! I used to dread Monday’s. Honestly. Now I see them as a week of opportunities. Am I that annoying Monday person you want to just slap when you walk into work and just want to drink your coffee before we chat? One of my favourite photos from this photoshoot.
