Three minutes of burpee pull-ups immediately followed by, yep you guessed it, another two minutes of "fun" burpees in which they can show off their personality.... A three-minute dead hang immediately followed by two minutes of freestylin' dead hanging. A five-minute agility test that includes circle hops, ladder shuffles and sprints. 08.01.2022 Genetics play a large role in strength training and unfortunately this means certain body designs are better than others for achieving certain fitness goals. There are 3 defined body types : - Ectomorph: Lean and long, with difficulty building muscle. - Endomorph: Big, high body fat, often pear-shaped, with a high tendency to store body fat.... - Mesomorph: Muscular and well-built, with a high metabolism and responsive muscle cells. Know your body type and play to its advantages, everyone's designed slightly different so workout hard and reap what you sow.



06.01.2022 Its generally thought that to have a strong core you will need a nice collection of abs. However this is very much from the truth. Here is a little bit of information about the abdominal muscles listed by the most superficial to the deepest. Rectus Abdominis: This muscle is also known as the six-pack muscle, as this is the most superficial of the abdominal muscles. The function of the rectus abdominis is to flex and stabilize the spine.... External Obliques: These muscles are located on both sides of the rectus abdominis and play an important role in flexing the spine, rotating the torso, and sideways bending. Internal Obliques: These muscles lie just below the external obliques and act in a similar manner in terms of function. Transverse Abdominis: This muscle is the deepest of the abdominal group and helps with breathing but more importantly it activates the core and stabilizes the pelvis and low back during most movements. For an exercise to develop core I would highly recommend the 'Plank' as it provides a much larger time under tension and is a much simpler exercise so it is hard to get wrong. I would also recommend sit ups, crunches, leg raises and different variations of the three mentioned. Remember to have a strong core is not all about having a six pack!

05.01.2022 For any beginning gym enthusiast out there looking for some tips and tricks or just a routine to follow I highly recommend the 'Jason Blaha's Ice Cream Fitness 5x5 Novice Program'. The main focus of the routine is to gain strength with a focus on the larger muscle groups and a 3 day training week. This was my first training plan that helped my overall lift increase and gave me my first real insight of progressive overload.
