21.01.2022 I didn't have time to head to the shops this morning, and my jarjums are a bit wild! I whipped up some coffee playdough for colour, and it seems to have done the trick. Coffee playdough... 2 cups of flour 1/3 salt 1/3 vegetable oil 1 table spoon coffee disolved in 1 cup of water

21.01.2022 If your little ones are keeping you super busy, jelly is a super cheap item that can be used for sensory play with young children. We washed some of our small dinosaurs in warm soapy water, before placing them in jelly to set. I had a chance to have a coffee, and didn't have to worry about my little eating anything toxic!

07.01.2022 Today we had a visit from Uncle Graham Toomey. Uncle Graham works for Gunawirra. We learned about how Aboriginal people use to live a long time ago. Each of the Jarjums also received a care pack. Some of our Jarjums were so excited, they started to brush their teeth straight away. Thanks Uncle Graham and Gunawirra!!

02.01.2022 Today I was feeling a bit desperate with a 3,2 and 1 year old in the house! So this afternoon I brought a home brand packet of fruit loops ($2.50 from Woolworths) and placed about half of it's contents into a small pool, with spoons and cups. This is a great activity for fine motor coordination, and a calming sensory experience. I understand some people may prefer to use non food items, and could instead replace the fruit loops for leaves or rocks ect. My choice is food due to my one year old mouthing everything.
