25.01.2022 The Dream Makers One of my favourite moments of any week is seeing your name pop up in my in-box, knowing one of your magical sketches or illustrations has just arrived. Words cannot express the joy that I experience seeing Ashoo’s adventure, and the worlds that exist in my imagination, come to life so beautifully through your gift Kalyani.... From the early pencil drawings to exquisite each finished painting, every step, every conversation that we have brings me so much. And beyond our collaboration, I am even more grateful to have got to know you and to share so much of our journey over the last few years. Thank you Kalyani, thank you!! Have a sneak peek at Kalyani's early work in bringing Ashoo's world to life https://www.thejarofdreams.com/ashoos-world/#right. And if you would like to see any more of Kalyani’s incredible work, you can check her out at www.kalyani-ganapathy.com or connect on Instagram @ganapathykalyani. #artist #author #WritingLife #novelwriting #thejarofdreams #dreammakers #dreamliving

20.01.2022 The Dream Makers I still blush a little with embarrassment when I look back at the early versions of the manuscript. But you had such belief and vision in Ashoo’s story, even in its early scribbles. Your certainty that this is was a story worthy of becoming a book, helped turn my little spark into the light that is burning brighter each day that we get closer to publication.... Your support means so much to me and when Ashoo makes it out into the hands and hearts of people into the world, it will be in large part thanks to you my friend. Thank you, dear Jane, for all your support and unshakeable belief over the last five years. Jane Ogilvie www.thejarofdreams.com/ #dreammaker #writinglife #thejarofdreams #ashoo #books

14.01.2022 Sometimes people come into our lives who make them richer in every sense. These are the deep friendships that are not bounded by space and time. Where years can pass, each in different continents and your connection still grows and deepens. On this fun journey of sitting in the gratitude for every soul that has helped me on this journey of writing The Jar of Dreams, it seems like a good place to start with you brother Gauri Rana... It is hard to know if I would be on this magical adventure with Ashoo, had it not been for you. It all started on my first night in Nainital, hanging out at the Boat House with Sam Luthra, Shiva, Manda and Almas and your invitation to join you and a crew of local brothers. A few days later, we were heading out into the Namik region for an unforgettable trek in so many ways!! Ten days or so in, after being battered by the late monsoon rains, running low on food but high on the experience of the deep nature of the mountains, the dream of Ashoo came to me as we slept under the cracks and groans of Namik glacier. Since that moment, the unfolding of this story has given me more joy than I could have dreamed of. So too has our friendship, my brother. Thank you for being the incredible human and spirit that you are. I am looking forward to seeing you on the other side of Covid to plant some trees with you, head back to Milam and the hills, spy on leopards and to give you a copy of The Jar of Dreams so you can step into Ashoo’s world and meet Gauri, the character you inspired. If you know Gauri and you are reading this, maybe take a moment to send him positivity and gratitude. If you don’t know Gauri, hopefully, you soon will know his spirit through the Gauri in The Jar of Dreams. If you can, maybe take a few moments to thank someone who has helped inspire you or a friend who has helped you. I like to call them Dream Makers, the people who make our lives richer and more joyful. #thejarofdreams #dreammakers #writinglife #WritingTips #publishing #nainital #friends #dreams

10.01.2022 When I stepped out on this adventure of writing and publishing, I had no idea what I was doing, beyond my love for writing. I have been so grateful for the support and guidance from many kind souls that I have been lucky enough to meet, and learn from, along the way. Every kind and honest word has watered the seeds of this dream and helped me grow as a writer and a novice in the world of publishing. With each of your acts of kindness, you have all helped me more than you know.... Some by helping me learn the craft of turning a jumble of words into a book, some through your kind words (that always give me goosebumps) and some by helping The Jar of Dreams find its way out into the world as a book. To you each, I am so grateful, beyond words. These posts and the Dream Makers page at https://www.thejarofdreams.com/ are a small way of showing how grateful I am to you. I’ll try and add one a week as I have so many of you to thank Much love, Alan You can follow Ashoo’s journey as he takes these next steps into the world on insta @thejarofdreams and on the website #thejarofdreams #author #publishing #writinglife #livingpassionately #peoplewhogive #dreammakers

07.01.2022 Today's Gratitude As I finish off the structural edit for this little fable that came to me in a dream, I love taking moments to remember all the people who have helped me so much along the way. The smiling face that came to me today was Mo MacRae. ... Life brought Mo and I together in a hotel lobby in Melbourne. Turns out we were both in the wrong place, but at the right time... Mo thanks so much my friend for all your support, encouragement and advice. You have a skill at storytelling that draws people in, even a coffee with you mate is like an adventure. Without trying, you have taught me so much. Thank you also for the generous gift of your time and your magic in directing the little videos that help give everyone a sneak-peek into Ashoo’s world. Thank you, my brother, keep dreaming! If you are looking for some help in creating stories and messages that connect and inspire. Mo is your man. Check him out at momacrae.com. If you feel like you could do with some positivity in these uncertain times, take a moment and think of someone who has helped you on your journey, or who brings a little light to your days. Stay well and keep dreaming in these changing times. Join our Dream Makers community at our little online home https://www.thejarofdreams.com/dreammakers/

03.01.2022 Hi, I am Ashoo, Welcome to my world and thank you so much for joining me on my journey in search of the evil Djinn, Malakhiim who has stolen my Jar of Dreams and replaced them with the dark mists of fear. Sorry that it has been a while since I last wrote to you, I have been finding my way through the endless desserts of Naj, and my good friend (and author of these tales) Alan has been having fun writing and talking with publishers.... As I continue on this adventure through the worlds beyond my home, the great slum city Shab-d-Kosh, I will send you notes and drawings. I have heard that there is not much wi-fi coverage in the Mountains of Milam, on the Oceans of Nafraz where I am headed, so I am sorry if I am not as regular with updates as you would hope. I promise though to send you a short 'letter' each month that you can get just by signing up at the website https://www.thejarofdreams.com/. Or if you know anyone else who is looking for their dreams, please feel free to invite them to join us all. I hope that my story will help you remember your dreams and begin to live them every day. Welcome to our family of dreamers and dream makers and thank you again. Live a little dream today, Ashoo
