I am finally going to be publishing a Poetry & photography book this will feature all my poems and photos and also some beautiful photography from Wandering Ewe Photography The book won’t be ready to purchase until later in the year but definitely looking forward to sharing with you!

04.01.2022 This man right here, who I have been Lucky enough to work for... has raised four kids, (witch was a struggle of its own) But now he gets to slow down and enjoy it. Except only now with his granddaughter cuddling him of a smoko and lunch, and eating oranges together. It’s these little moments that make me appreciate the lifestyle we live. 03.01.2022 By far one of the hardest poems I’ve ever written. For those who don’t know Pat Stewart is not only my best mate but was my grandfather who’s sadly passed away on the 20th of March 2020 Pat Stewart ... Well pat the memories are all that remain, The family and mates that you’ve gain, Without you here it sure won’t be the same. As another sun sets, the skies are glowing red, Sitting around a fire remembering the words you have said. Most were wise and very true, If you said you would do something You’ll always see it through. Green valley just won’t be the same, With the amount of people that come And ask for your name. Now all that’s left are the memories And this pictures that I’ve framed. It’s going to be hard to hide the pain inside, We are going to miss that pat can you go to the water slide. You were the only man I ever let call me darling or love. Now when I need to hear that from you I look to the skies above. Now your time on earth is done, Now you are up there with your daughter and son. And all you good old mates including Slim, I could just imagine you now singing this is where country is. Shearing with you always made time fly, Never would I thought you wouldnt be there By my side. I moved away and our phone calls were everything We had. Half an hour every afternoon, I never thought I had to say goodbye to you so soon. Not only were you a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and a brother You were a bloke we could all call our mate And a mate you always will be. ~Jarrad Hickman
